OGN (or any other stream) limiting you to 360p? Not anymore!

As someone on Reddit so niftily pointed out, you can use a program called Livestreamer to stream the mobile app (which allows you to view in 720p for free) right to your computer. If you don't have it already, which you should because it's awesome, you'll need the free VLC Media Player. Once you've gotten both of those installed, simply open your Command Prompt (cmd.exe) and type in:

livestreamer twitch.tv/streamname mobile_high

Where 'streamname' is the URL of the stream you're trying to watch, so if you wanted to view OGN's stream, you'd type: livestreamer twitch.tv/ongamenet mobile_high.

Cool, thanks for letting us know. I watched some OGN today and the medium quality sucked.

 

Back in the day (2007 and earlier) Sythe accepted RSGP donations. At the time RSGP ran about $6 per 1M, and as I donated 5M, I was lumped in with the $25 donors. We keep the old mask images to differentiate us from the cash donors.

Yeah, I tried this after seeing the Reddit thread thismorning and it worked out pretty good. I'm not a fan of VLC Media Player, but it's better than the new 360p+ on Twitch.
