Display driver stopped responding then recovered?

Hi when i play games i get this error:
(stolen from divica was too lazy to upload a new)

    my comp: fx 6100, sapphire hd 7950 vapor x, 8gb ddr3 ram, asrock 970 extreme 4 500w powersupply

When i play games and i set the GPU and CPU to like 80% power(at the AMD program) then everything is fine, but when i put it to 100% i get this error sometimes and then it closes the game.

what i have tried: updating drivers, deleting and installing again.

    please help!

Download speedfan and see how hot it is running when you are playing the games.

110c is too hot. Have you tried cleaning the case? Is there crap blocking any fans?

If it's heating up that fast then there's probably something wrong... have you checked the fans?

That can certainly happen. Take your cpu cooler off while its running. See how fast your computer will shut itself down. Note: It will be pretty damn fast.

update! i just checked my comp, and it seems like the GPU's fan blows the hot air into the CPU'S fan, so it blows the hot air to the cpu, and it overheats. This might be the thing that causes my problems. Any idea how to fix it?

If everything is clean then you might just need more exhaust fans. It could also be that your graphics card is a bit old and the fan / heat exchange simply isn't working as well anymore.

Did you build it yourself or prebuilt?

I'd contact them then. It may be that your card is just not working right if its overheating. Have you tried reseating it?

Well if it's under warranty, I'd send the whole thing back and make them replace it all.

What PSU do you have? (Although I doubt its the issue). And what CPU / GPU?
