Mediums, people who see into the future etc.

If this is the wrong forum i am sorry, please tell me where to post it.

Well basically what are your thoughts on people who claim they can read what happens in the future.

I have personally seen mediums in the past and majority of things they have told me aren't in general, and they cannot link to other people. One has told me the exact career path i will take when i was 16, i said back then its a load of bollocks but im actually in the process of this career path.

Has anyone on sythe visited mediums etc?

Do you think its bullshit or do you think it can be true, how do they read peoples past present and future?

 

They smoke a bunch of the Cali's finest kush, trip out and tell you the hallucinations they see while incorporating you into it all.

You're following the career path they said because they implemented that idea into your mind. Psychology, they plant the seed and water it up. Same concept as telling someone they're sick. The more you tell them, the more they start believing it and eventually they'll turn themselves sick.

 

100% bullshit, a normal person can't see into your future... only in the movies.

Yes maybe so, but what about the other medium i seen just this last weekend they told me exactly what career path im choosing.

I do believe that some can be the real deal.

See Medians and other people who claim to be able to "see your future" Are just very good at social engineering. They tell you a bunch of general stuff. that could happen to anyone. well at least that's what i believe

 

Most of them say things so vague that it can apply to anyone and by your reaction they choose what to say next

 

See thats what i think but this one person told me things without me looking at him, or answering. If you have never visited one, id recommend trying it just to experience it, before me visiting this one, who is really clear on things.. i didn't believe one word, i clearly thought they just fuck with your brains.

 

I don't believe in psychics. I think all they are just talented people that are able to make educated guesses as a result of observation and study.

 

This exactly. They'll tell you something that doesn't make too much sense but stays in the back of your head. As time goes on something will happen and you will pretty much force yourself to make some kind of connection between what happened and what you were told would happen. That's the way I look at it.

 

Lol they can't see into your future. If you believe they can, you are the reason that they stay in business.

 

Its called cold reading, it really isn't really that difficult to do. Do a little bit of research and you'll see how its done, no different than a magician might do something that seems "impossible." There are entire books about how its done/plenty of resources online dissecting "psychics" and how they've arrived at the conclusions that they have.

edit: and of course if you've visited several there is going to be one that hits the nail on the head or has a better performance than the others, I don't really see it as all that impressive.

 

That's exactly what I was about to say. There's no one who see's into the future, If they did they figure out the "next big thing" and make money off of it for themselves. Just because you went and saw someone who is better or "good" at using the social science they use to bring up there vague descriptions doesn't mean they are real. Sorry if I sound like I'm ragging on you but you should expect this, there are people who study facial structures and can pretty accurately tell when your lying or not compare things like that and it doesn't seem like they're "magic" anymore.

 

i think its all a bunch of bullshit, they're either deluded or trying to make some money, there's no empirical evidence therefore you shouldn't believe it.
