Yep, its already like that.. Heck I went to the zoo a few days ago, there was barely anybody watching the animals. They all where like 'make me a pic', 'omg check this status', 'I got so many likes'!

And I'm like oh god why on earth would you even pay for the zoo then? :/

The most frustrating example i can possibly think of is going on a date and the other person, glued to their phone the entire time.

I actually have a Facebook account, but have not used it in months, likewise, one of my friends made the point of getting all his mates phone numbers and then deactivated his Facebook. I personally find that life without Facebook is more enjoyable, and to be honest, you realise who your real friends are who then bother to contact you via phone. "Facebook friends" and "friends" do not always mean the same thing :)

Yeah, technology seriously has crapped on socializing. And it's worse, because people don't even use their phones to CALL people and at least get some sort of real interaction; instead they just text. It's terrible.

Something you can do is if you're out with friends everyone puts their phones on he middle of the table and first person to pick it up during the meal pays the bill.

I like this idea. I feel like my friends wouldn't pay, even if they were the one to pick it up.

Facebook hasn't impacted my social life negatively at all, nor have phones. I see my good friends daily, and others most weekends/night outs/21sts etc. Facebook to me is actually a positive factor in relation to keeping in contact and thus seeing friends/people you know more often. I know for a fact if I didn't have facebook, I wouldn't go to half the parties, nights out and even simply catch up with certain people.

Im pro-facebook, so maybe my opinion is bias. However, I don't sit on facebook, neither am I glued to my phone when I go out and whatnot, I actually interact. The only thing I really use on my phone when with friends/alone would be snapchat/checking in places.

I did a speech over this way back in High-school, a little before smart phones and droids were big, but texting was still a highly used method of communication on flip phones and whatnot. This was annoying in itself, I mean it prompted me to build my speech around it right?

After droids/smartphones took over the market, though, there has been a distinct change in just about everyone's social behavior. You're putting a gadget that can literally just about do anything in the hands of someone who doesn't need it/know how to utilize it. Wasting away on youtube, facebook, and texting is just a typical day by day of any teenager with a phone, and these activities stretch and extend throughout entire days. Texting is how a teen could form a relationship. You get the girl's number and you send that first text which will be good enough to lock in a whole string of conversation, right? But what are you gaining from this? Bonding time? Your text messages do not convey who you are, and in fact some people use texting to convey images that THEY'RE NOT! You might lead this girl to believe you're a funny, witty, smart and sweet guy with you pre-planned and well articulated text messages - but she may have a different view of you if you hold a real face to face conversation with her. That's because you have no time to plan what you're going to say on a whim face to face.... And it's good for you... Everyone should feel a little socially awkward now and again.

It's funny, to this day I still get in fights with my girlfriend over fucking text messages that she thinks I intended to be "Mean" when in reality I'm just simply responding to what was sent to me... Text messages do not convey you.

Also people who take pictures of themselves in any situations (Like in the video) deserve to be bitch slapped, have their phone bitch slapped out of their hand, then bitch slapped in the face again. Seriously I can't STAND when people take those obnoxious pictures of themselves. "Oh, having a fruity drink at your favorite restaurant? Time to snap a picture of yourself and upload it to the internet!". It's a damn shame that in 30 years your kids are going to be looking through all of your ridiculous 'puckered lips' faggot pictures and 'stand to the side with your arm on your hip with all your girlfriends' photos. Too many conceited tendencies, what made you think you should share that with everyone other than for your own satisfaction from knowing other people will enjoy/envy you?

This is why I haven't even typed (besides this) www.facebook.com for years and years and years and years. The whole idea of social networking is trash. If anything, it's just a way for everyone to showboat what their doing, and
tbh I don't fucking care - that kind of stuff makes me just hate your more. I also had been free of cell phones and texting for the past 4 years until literally a month and 1 day ago I got a cell phone because I genuinely needed it around that time, but now I'm thinking about getting rid of it again.

Its good but bad at the same time, but some people literally think IRL is the second life, its like they would rather be injured IRL than in a game. Girls that are always on thier phones and doing the duck face pose ,OMFG that annoys me, and little kids with Iphone 5s
