Actually a Newcastle fan....

Swansea were unlucky to loose 4-1 to Man United, they were the better team for periods of the game. Man City dominated us before we went down to 10 men with us playing with a solid midfield, who got outplayed by far, with City only playing with 2 central midfielders.

 

the quality between Swansea and Newcastle is huge. Swansea have the ability to play excellent football at home whereas Newcastle don't at this current time. Swansea managed to win the capital cup last season so they are not on the same level as Newcastle. Besides who wouldn't expect a £600+ million squad to play good passing football?

 

While you two argue with each other Chelsea is sitting at 6 points.

This thread is about predictions for who is looking the best. If RVP gets injured, you guys are in trouble. City have too much depth this season. I think they will finish above United.

same was said last season but we won it with 4 weeks to go

 

RVP is due an injury. A whole season playing every game is not what he is about.

 

Yet we have won the premier league 19 other times without RVP. Everytime we win the league new excuse for all the haters lol

 

You had Sir Alex Ferguson last year, I don't think Moyes has what it takes. Nonetheless, it will be an exciting season to watch.

Also, Man United have won the Premier League 13 times. As you seem to be a glory supporter and can't discuss any other part of football beyond Man United I doubt you understand the difference between the Old Division 1 and the Premiership.

Since I said Man United won't win the Premier League this season, as I believe Man City have the better of them, you have been on the defensive. Quoting last season or how many titles you have won is not a base for an argument, that is the kind of thing someone who can't look beyond their own club posts. This is a discussion about football as a whole, not which team you support. If your going to carry on posting the same childish nonsense please stop as it is just clogging up the thread.

 

I do believe that Manchester United will win the league this season. Despite losing Fergie, we still have the same players that walked away with the league last season. I do believe that we need a proper fighting midfielder though, somebody with a bit of muscle. I do hope that we are able to sign Fellaini (although not keen on Baines.... Although he'd improve our team, I wouldn't like to see us spending money for the sake of it, we already have 3 LB's!)

Whilst City have bought a few decent signings, I believe Chelsea will pip them to second, especially if they do get another striker in (though hopefully not Rooney ) before the end of the transfer window. Therefore, City to come 3rd

4th place will be a tough one. If Spurs keep Bale, I think they can certainly push for 4th. But I'd expect Arsenal to be scrapping for it still (assuming they actually manage to buy some quality players, their squad has no depth imo, and very few standout players). If Liverpool play like they did their first game, there is no reason they can't push for 4th either.

I belive Swansea will do well again this season, and could be looking to push for an Europa spot (who knows, they could even win Europa this season and get into the Champions League )

Transfer deadline day should be exciting. I honestly believe that if one BIG transfer happens, many others will follow. For example, I believe (or hope) that if Real Madrid get Bale on transfer deadline day, that'll be the signal for Ronaldo moving to United... if that were to happen, I think we might even consider letting Rooney go to Chelsea. As with Suarez, well, only Arsenal want him it appears, and it doesn't appear to be much of a step up for him at this moment in time. Obviously the realistic chance of Ronaldo moving this summer is extremely low, but one can hope to see him gracing the Premier League once again If this happens, you heard it here first!

As for those going down, I'm not entirely sure yet. I don't think Palace or Hull will have enough about them to stay up, but I'm not sure who the 3rd team to go down will be.
