Unauthorized transcation at PayPal, HELP PLEASE

Hello guys!

I need your help please, since i am really a noob to PayPal and don't know what to do. So, here is the case. A guy sent me money via PayPal gift to boost his account. After i did it, he just claimed unauthorized transaction. What should i do to keep the money? Help please, i would really appreciate it

 

Report him, get a screen shot of his skype and sythe name. Take note of the transaction and the service that was completed and compile it and post it here:

The thing is that i boosted his account, so he is a customer. I don't know if he even has an account here. All i got is chat from Skype where he is clearly saying that he is sending that money to me, so can i win that claim with that and keep the money?

 

It's doubtful that you'll be able to get your money no matter how well-deserved. Paypal doesn't cover virtual goods/services as it's hard to prove the transaction.

But if you send as a gift, you don't have a buyer's protection anymore. And since it was for a virtual good, you can't get your money back, that's how it should be.

 

Unfortunately, you cant do anything except next time use better judgement and only accept Paypal payments from trusted members on this site.

 

You're fucked. Paypal don't support virtual trades so you can't really do anything.

 

It depends on whether he used stolen money to pay you or just made that claim on purpose. You will win if he did it deliberately(which means money comes out of his own account).

Do you know whether the funds were stolen/have you got an idea if they were? Open a claim, state the case and hope for the best.

Anyways, i told him that he probably wont get that money back and that if he doesn't cancel that claim, i will report his account to RIOT for boosting and he will be banned. So, seems like he canceled it

And i guess if he opens it again, PayPal will definitely see that payment wasn't unauthorized, that it was really him who sent that money.

Btw, i am 100% sure that funds were not stolen, that he uploaded them via his card i guess, it was just the question if he used some proxy or VPN to get different IP while sending me the money or not (Which i doubt he did).

I'd also be weary about reporting him to Riot, as it could land you in a spot of trouble aswell.

 

Glad you worked out your case. I got charged back $90 today. The claim was automatically declined since I contacted Paypal and said it was for virtual goods. Turned out the guy charged back me since the person who he was paying to train his account scammed him (which is why he bought the GP from me) and his words;


'I wanted you to contact Diamonds (the account trainer) and get him to pay you since he scammed me'

Really, people are so dumb.

Hopefully with this you have learnt your lesson on how unsafe Paypal transactions can be!
