They said you'd never be able to buy loyalty items, basically can now. Screwed for the billionth time if it is vise versa.

 

Reading over the article, it sounds more like you're going to be able to spend loyalty points on SGS items, but not RuneCoins on Loyalty items. To quote -
"Very soon, you’ll be able to spend your hard-earned loyalty points not only in the Loyalty Shop, but also on some of the great items in Solomon’s General Store."

Although, it wouldn't surprise me if they ended up doing what you suggested either.

 

Hearing them say that they're merging just sounds to me like another assfuck from jagex.

 

Hey nowwwwww, it's not all negative.
At least those who have loyalty points can buy things from the SGS now which is pretty good and I've seen nothing but positive reviews from the Runescape forums.

All I'm worried about is the price like.. 1k loyalty points making 100 runecoins which would be really unfair.

 

It could definitely end up being one. The loyalty program has been overshadowed by the SOF and SGS for a long time now though, so if this change sparks a series of additions and improvements to the loyalty program through increased use (since it'll be easier to use and find) then it could end up being a good thing.

I'll bet you anything it'll be at least 5k points per 100 rune coins. It ain't gonna be cheap.

New Skill: Divination


The skill involves the player gathering divine energy from wisps which can be used to make certain products, such as portents or signs.


To Start The Skill:


Head to the south of Draynor, just outside of the Battle for Lumbridge Crater. No need to talk with anyone. Head to where you see whisps and start collecting.

A Basic Overview:



You train this skill in the same fashion as you would in Runespan. You click on the whisp and you will absorb memories from it. Each time you absorb a memory, you will also absorb energy for the respective whisp.



The above image is the Memory Conversion option that appears after clicking on the rift in the area. It allows you to convert your memories into energy or exp.

[Option One] Memories to Energy
*Converts memories into energy. Will gain from 2-4 energy per memory depending if it is a standard or enriched memory.
*Produces resources but only gains 1 exp per conversion.

[Option Two] Memories to Experience
*Converts all memory into EXP.

[Option Three] Memories and Energy to Experience
*Converts energy and memories into experience.
Standard Memories: 1 Memory & 5 Energy produce exp.
Enriched Memories: 1 Enriched Memory & 10 Energy produce exp.
*Most resource intensive way to train, but produces the most exp.

Keep an eye out for these!


These are called Chronicle Fragments! They randomly appear while collecting memories. After collecting 10 of these, take it to the Guthix altar where you completed World Wakes for the maximum experience possible for turning them in. If you have not completed World Wakes the quest, you can convert them into exp at any Divination rift for a smaller amount of exp.

If you enjoy Runespan, you will enjoy this. It is based on the same principle but is slightly different due to the conversion into exp.

I marginally enjoy it. Its not what I was expecting, but it could be worse. IT is causing items in the GE to go up so time will tell.

 

"Absorbing memories" really? Then, memories convert into energy?

My god...what has Runescape come to. Thank god I don't play the game anymore.

Hey, this thread has been quite convincing. The only real reason would be the graphical interface, and PVM. I've always been a fan of "Bossing" etc, might have to give it a whirl, but not too intrigued on the idea of starting over, again -.-

It still has a lot to offer! It is just being overshadowed by some terrible updates and a rather slow skill. You should come back and give it a try Asap. You may enjoy it.

My one gripe is that everyone is hating on each other right now. I got called a failed bot because I was sitting there mis-clicking while adjusting my interface.

 

That's another downfall; literally, KIDS, 10-15 years, if they discover runescape, they're not going to go and play 07scape, they're going straight to RS3. It hosts a lot of immaturity. Whereas 07scape, is filled with majority of old school players.

That's how I'm viewing it, at present.

I might give it a whirl, but like I said, I hate to start over again -.-

 

Being in the RS3 section makes me miss Runescape, not the current Runescape, but the RS I joined, played and wasted 2 years of my life on.. Divination on the other hand looks like a bit of a let down, so I doubt i'll be coming back

Starting September 1 there will be a new daily challenge everyday, a *super* challenge unlike the others you're given on a daily basis if you're a member as these challenges will only last ONE day!
You must complete this challenge everyday to get a big reward at the end of the 30 days in September.

New titles, new armor, double the xp! Who isn't excited?

Not much going on this week except for Loyalty shop merging with Solomons.
