Botting and Bans

Hi, I'm new here and I've never botted in RS before. If you get caught banning, is it an immediate perma ban? Or do you get a temporary ban of say a week or two? Do most people create alt accounts and bot with those instead of their main? Also should I use a VPN?

 

They seem to be recently cracking down hard on bots. But, you will most likely get a 20 day ban as your first ban. Unless you're a goldfarmer botting multiple accounts don't get a vpn.

 

Thanks for the info. Do you know of any areas that are constantly monitored for bots or are hotspots for bots? I heard yaks is one. Are there other areas I should be aware of?

48 hour bans is what I just got... Flesh Crawlers...

 

I got a perm ban for botting 1-83 wc a while back about 4months, they didnt even give me a warning or anything, i think they thought i was a gold farmer lol.

 

Got on my 4 farming accounts a 48 hour ban, which was pretty decent i thought. Yesterday they all got permanently banned unfortunately . Was botting a private script.

 

I got a 2 week temp ban for botting, botted 1-93 str, and got my temp ban when I was at rock crabs. It's dealt with on a case to case basis, depends how you were caught etc. I do know they are more lenient with combat botting over gold farmers. Gold farmers are usually an insta perm.

 

Yup that is how they do it, lot's of bans lately
