Xbox one

i dont mean the old xbox i mean the one thats coming out very soon.. is it really worth 500$? if so why or why not.. Also i havent looked into the ps4 much but is it better or worse? i personally like games such as call of duty and halo but with each new one i feel they get worse.

 

The new playstation and xbox are near identical. The only main difference is going to be the price point. However, it depends on the type of gamer you are, as a competitive - multiplayer - gamer, xbox has always specialized in the best experience whereas playstation has always been campaign/single player based. It's hard to say at the current time, i too am torn between the two.

 

Its also worth noting that xbox forces you to buy their kinect, that's why its more expensive.


My answer: neither, I'll be waiting for the steam release and playing with my 360 controller x]

The kinect packages out in the price of the Xbox whereas Playstation will charge you more to buy separate.

 

After the first press conference they did for the One, i knew that the good times were over. To much focus on the tv and the social media features.

 

First, Microsoft has retracted the majority of their statements since the first conference. They knew and admitted mistakes were made, promised changes.

Secondly, Sony is doing the exact same thing as Microsoft with their "Sony TV" integrated into the console.

Extremely far from better, depending the type of gamer you are.

If you're a hardcore, competitive gamer then no, it won't be better. However, if you like story based, campaign, single players the yes, it will be better.

The systems are made for two entirely different generation of gamers.

Ps4 is for hardcore gamers. xbox one is for all round bullshit.

 

Quite the contrary, playstation is known for one of the worst multiplayer experiences for this generation. Competitions, mlg tournaments, etc, majority are held via Xbox.

You can't argue playstation is for the competitive gamers because the fact is, it's not.

Sony has always been miles behind Microsoft in the ultimate, competitive, market yet has always lead in the best exclusives, single player/campaigns which they even stated at E3. Claiming this time will be different and they're concentrating on multiplayer a lot more. I.e intagrated party chat.

 

maybe they don't do MLG tournaments but srsly who gives a fuck

sorry but ps4 = 4x more sold then xbox one so far

also the ps3 doesnt break so fast , the xbox wasnt ready for production.

Sony is ahead of Xbox currently.

 

The discussion isn't "whose ahead" nor "who has the most preorders".

Inevitably, all we can examine is the history. Microsoft has a better multiplayer experience, by example, and nothing can be judged until the units are released to the public. Playstation could make a turn around and take over multiplayer but it's too early to tell.

I'm a big fan of the 360, but I think I may be converting to playstation when the ps4 is released.. :/

No other reason than to play with friends.

 

I was always into the xbox thanks to the first halo.. and the first few games with the 360 but they went way down hill with skill caps and making games "noob friendly".. the only time i ever enjoyed playstation was with the older games like FF9 and final fantasy tactics stuff like that.. at this point i may not get either of the new systems until i see a few enjoyable games

 

Xbox will have good games at the release, Ryse, dead rising 3, ghosts, etc.

There have been rumors of the Xbox being cheaper due to lack of necessity with the kinect. However, there has been no set date and time when it is expected to drop or if it will indefinitely.

 

I love my xbox360, but tbh i think ill have to get the ps4 instead of xbox one when they come out
