what is the best item to merchant?

what item have you seen the best results with?

 

There's never really a good answer to this, because prices are constantly changing. Runes are a common one for new merchers because you can get a lot for small prices each, and although it's minimal profit (1 or 2gp profit per rune) it really adds up when you have tens or hundreds of millions of runes.

Personally I've had success with herbs a lot in the past, and generally just items that are in high demand. Logs for fletching/firemaking, uncooked lobsters for cooking, nature runes for alching, etc.

Make good use of Zybez's price guide/grand exchange. Very useful tool for finding buyers and sellers.

 

flip rares they have really good margins.
