Kinaesthetic Scammed Me

I mean shit man I'd refer someone to someone else even if I didn't know them, it's a courtesy. You can't be at fault for that unless they planned to work together and scam..

 

I don't think this was planned. I would just personally feel bad if I referred someone to someone and they were treated like shit.

 

He wanted to have items replaced/gone, it was a pain considering I had not saved the PSD by accident. I had to cut the items out with the photoshop tools and figure a way how to do it without the quality being reduced, he also wanted the color differently.

I had to do three seperate avatars before he was satisfied, take that in account.

I usually do anything to keep my customers satisfied, but when someone wastes hours of work and planning with sad excuses and calls me a retard and an idiot I am not going to assist that person any further. It's extremely ignorant of you to not understand that.

 

This is just the result of someone taking an order and having zero time to actually do it and put effort into it. If you don't have time to put the effort you'd put into something you would use yourself Kin then you shouldn't be taking orders. Last thing I'm saying about this. I respect your work and I know your not a bad guy I just feel like you're to busy.

Calling someone a retard and an idiot won't help you in life, I hope you understand that.
Also, next time you order something big from someone, make sure to know what the heck you want and not stare at your screen asking me what you need on a poker website, I wouldn't know.

So what, you couldn't make him something else and made him something different but yet matching the signature which would have been better anyway? Someone pays you a lot of money for quality work, they deserve quality not something someone with minimal skills can offer because I could have made him that for free. You don't go to Louis Vuitton for jeans with material that you can find at walmart, you pay for quality especially when you know it's coming from someone reputable. The rest of your work wasn't amazing either.

I'm hoping all the misconceptions regarding my part in this are cleared up. Because I don't want anyone to leave this thread having the wrong image in their heads. To sum it up I just trusted my friend with advice he passed on to me. I had no idea what specifically went down between the two of them until much later on.

 

Moonglare after reading this thread I didn't get any bad impressions of you at all (so don't sweat it - trust me).

 

Not to fan any flames, but after reading this thread, I think both BBB and Kina are a little both in the wrong. I don't know Kina, and I've only had one dealing with BBB (I made his avatar, and to be honest, he was a great customer and the creation and purchase went very smooth.), so I suppose I'm looking at this from someone who really has no friendship ties to either of you. By all means, a mod can delete this post, but I don't mean any offense to either party with anything that I'm saying. I could be completely wrong, sometimes I have trouble grasping whats going on when there's pages of people saying different things haha.

Now with that said, from what I understand, Kina didn't save his PSD for the signature, which is kind of a silly mistake for someone who does such good work. When a client is paying you, you can't really deny something because it's too much work if you have the skills and ability to do it. If you messed up, it's your responsibility to fix it, and tbh something like that should be fixed without being charged because it was entirely your mistake. Sad thing about graphic design, is that you might hate the outcome while your customer loves it and that's that. Of course these are things you already know since you're working with it, but some people might not understand this. I understand not wanting to save stuff sometimes, but you can always delete it after the customer is happy.

Secondly, I think the matter could have been dealt with better by BBB instead of calling out people publicly, and blaming Moonglare, however I'm the type to settle a dispute personally so I suppose it's not the same for everyone. It seems like a lot of people jump the gun, or call one another names when there's more mature ways to go about things (not implying anyone here is immature, I just think arguments don't solve any problems).

Regardless, for the amount he paid Kina, and for the work Kina exampled in his graphics thread, BBB really didn't get he quality he was expecting and paid for, even you must admit that (If the images BBB posted were indeed work by Kina). If Kina claims he's doing other work and doesn't have time for forums work, he needs to have his shop open for days and hours that he has the free time to produce good work - or even close it until he has more time - instead of rushing work out for an even higher price because of an hourly rate (depending how much that hourly rate is. I only count hours as the time I'm actually working, not the time I have negotiating with a client - or in this case, arguing).

Maybe it's just me, but I don't believe hourly rates belong in a forums graphic shop. If anything, have a flat rate + a certain amount of money per hour over 3 hours if you happen to cross that line, or something along those lines. Lastly, again, these are forum graphic shops, it's business but it's not by any means sustaining and it's really a hobby and the love of sharing your art with others (at least for me). I always do my dealings by watermarking my work with intrusive low opacity colored texts, and only take payment after a customer as approved said low-res preview image. Personally, I think that's the best way. It keeps customers feeling safe and happy, while providing you with a safe sale as long as you do good work for them and are friendly. If they want to spend 4 hours trying to Photoshop all the watermark text off of a low resolution preview, so be it, they can have fun with a low quality piece of art that's lost all it's impact and luster.

Kind of rambled at the end, but you get the idea. I think the best way to solve this would just to work something out and avoid all the reports and arguments, but I suppose everyone has their own methods haha, and I do indeed hope you guys figure this all out so both parties are happy.

Oh, and Moonglare, as Dream said, this thread gives off no bad vibes on your part, although I suppose I'm a little biased since I thought you were extremely friendly in the first place

 

This is irrelevant, I called you a retard in our very last conversation which was ~1 week after you gave me all these GFX designs. I was nothing but nice to you whilst you were designing my pecies, I tried to keep my patience after you kept getting the WRONG dimensions time and time again, and after you done if 4 times it was a joke, I even felt bad asking you to fix it. No one should be in that position, from the previous "art" you gave me I knew after you do it wrong the first time when you "fix" it, it had always been a half-arsed job.

Simply unpleasant, and I think any one can understand my frustration with you after you hassled me around for ~1 hour making it difficult for me to pay you, you told me you would only accept RSGP at ~15% over the market value, refered me to other gold shops with a worse price, I then forwarded someone trusted on another forums to you. You told me ok, have that person PM me then I can accept PayPal from you. So I added that person to the Skype convo so they could talk, after a while he ended up telling me he's not doing, after I spent all this time getting a spec for him and running around for him to get a perfect payment method he tells me no. That's why I called him a retard, because he pissed me off.

Bump your scam report and be persistent you'll get a reply from someone soon enough.

 

Consider condensing your scam report into the proper format. Go to the report a scammer section and copy the template that's in the stickies. Edit your original post into the proper template and make sure you include all the information necessary. Once you've done that bump the thread saying that you've edited the first post with more detail.
