RWT bans

What's the likelihood of getting a RWT ban if you're buying gold? Has anyone ever gotten one?

Is it safer to buy direct onto the account you want it in, or use mules and then trade it to the accounts? Do RWT bans give temp bans or are they permanent?


Never even given the matter much thought, but it occurred to me that I have a couple hundred million spread across a few accounts, and not sure I want them to get banned in a hurry. The accounts are all real accounts that are used, rather than blank level 3's, but are they still at risk if they've received the gold from a mule account?

If anyone knows about this stuff, would appreciate some insight.

 

If your just buying gold I wouldn't worry too much, now if your selling large amounts that's a completely different ball game mate

 

I personally never got any bans for buying gold.

 

Well it's probably not too relevant for today's conditions, but I did get a mass ban on all my accounts in 2007. I had bought around 15-25m, and it was just the one transaction. Accounts that didn't even touch the gold were hit too.

 

Even if it was hundreds of millions? I can see that buying a few million here and there may not draw too much attention.. but large amounts?

That seems a little OTT, are you sure it couldn't have been for something else? Botting or something like that? Sounds like an IP ban, which is a bit harsh for RWT.

 

Well Jagex is tracking down big numbers of people botting now also same thing for RWT. I prefer you just get gold in oldschool because if you buy gold in EoC your like 50% of getting banned to be honest because its a high ban rate.

 

you don't forget all your accounts getting banned on one day, yeah they were all RWT

 

ive had 3 accs baned from rwting on pb, it has alot of risk involved.

This question gets asked a lot her at Sythe, I'd recommend doing some research/google before posting. RWT bans are a gamble, take for example, I was RWTing on an account (flipping gold) on an hourly basis, for months, and was never banned. That account ran out of membership so I used a secondary account and was banned within 2 hours of flipping.

Take precautions, but you're never safe when breaking the rules

 

Yeah, after years of bans for silly little things I sort of expect to get banned at any point, so every day I don't is a plus. and when it happens, I'm no longer particularly surprised.

Was just interested whether it had happened much on '07 to anyone here.
