Name Sales Rules, Confusing as hell.

Alright, a lot of users have been banned recently for selling sniped names. What are the rules on this, if the name has been sniped EVER then can you not sell it, or is it only if you've sniped the name. 90% of name sellers have bought and sold names to each other, for instance I've traded with some well known people, Alex12345, Jake Kastle, Ricky, NAG, Louis, BRSG. Obviously somewhere down the line the names were sniped as anything owned by ricky has had a dodgy past at least once. Does this make me bannable for selling sniped names? Or because I've never sniped a name or bought a name that was knowingly sniped by the guy I bought it from, am I in the clear. Was just wondering as if i'm not in the clear there are a lot of users on sythe.org, including some staff that are going to go down the shitter as they have sold names and traded some people who are banned for name reasons.

If you know for a certainty, as in - you've discussed, that the name is sniped then buy it - that's you buying stolen goods, the same as it is with gold sales.

 

Everything cannot be traced back to the original user though but I guess if the seller is telling you its a stolen name then you should not but it but if you do not know when meh... the liability might not be on you. Rule should in fact be specified so users know.

 

Yeah, I know that if you know it's been sniped by the guy you're buying it from it's wrong, but what if they've sniped other names in the past and you're not buying from them you're buying from someone who bought from them?

 

If you're buying a name recently sniped by Aaron then you're buying stolen goodsin all honesty. If its gone through a few owners since it was sniped and you're not buying directly from him that's the grey area.
