WARNING!!! PLEASE READ BEFORE SELLING RSN/RSN's

WARNING: To everyone who is selling a RSN/RSN's publicly there has been past banned sythe members/site lerkers reporting "Public" RSN's to Jagex to get them locked i am a victim of this happening as i lost 5 semi-rare/rare/extremely rare rsn's due to selling them publicly.

ADVICE: when selling a rare RSN require a PM to see the RSN & only give out to people/someone you can trust etc.. plus when selling the RSN in a thread listing the RSN like this "******" stops lerkers & RSN snipers from knowing the RSN P.S. - NEVER POST RARE RSN IN THREAD TITLE!!!!!

This Warning Only Effects: Semi-Rare,Rare & Extremely Rare RSN's For The Most Part!!!!!

WARNING!!! PLEASE READ BEFORE SELLING RSN/RSN's

I support the advice in this thread. But here's the facts.

If the name you're selling is worth anything to anybody, the exact people you're trying to avoid WILL find out. This is inevitable. "Trusted" name sellers on this site tell the people you're trying to avoid what the names are. As much as people would like to escape it, most likely it will never happen.

Just be careful what you're willing to risk. Don't sell a really good name if you're not prepared to lose it.

WARNING!!! PLEASE READ BEFORE SELLING RSN/RSN's

This may be a localized attack to some of the more major sellers, but thank you for the heads up.

very true can't ever be 100% safe but this should help stop website lerkers a.k.a non-sythe members & RSN snipers from knowing the RSN/RSN's you are selling. P.S. nothing is 100% protected but i know this would help alot if people did this.

serverguy101 - this has nothing to do with popularity of the RSN seller such as myself if you are indeed selling a Rare RSN or RSN's there will be someone out to get it no matter if you popular or not. <--- this is just some friendly advice i hope people use when selling a RSN.

WARNING!!! PLEASE READ BEFORE SELLING RSN/RSN's

Most major name sellers are snipers. That's kind of what i mean. If your name is worth having, it won't be long before people find out what it is. The only way to truly avoid this situation is not to post your sales on sythe. If you just post your sales on skype or something and wait for people to message you, the amount of names getting deleted will minimize.

MotherYar187 - Well i am a major RSN seller & i am friends with most of them i can say they aren't RSN snipers cause they would have been banned way before now as Sythe has no tolerance when it comes to RSN snipers A.k.a "BAN HAMMER" p.s -> this is just some friendly advice to help out.

WARNING!!! PLEASE READ BEFORE SELLING RSN/RSN's

The problem with name sniping, it's very hard to prove somebody does it. I mean logically there's not a way other than self admittance. So if the seller himself doesn't admit to it, sythe would never actually know. I mean you can accuse somebody of name sniping, but what proof can you actually provide other than the fact that they have a rare name? I don't know if any users have been banned for name sniping. However, if there have been bans related to name sniping, i'm pretty confident it involved confession.

I'm not saying you or your friends are name snipers, but most people with good names either:

    #1Recovered
    #2Sniped
    #3Bought

The first two options are against sythe rules. The 3rd option 9/10 times the name was purchased from somebody who broke rule #1 or #2. Realistically name sales section shouldn't exist. But that's a whole seperate subject. Just be careful when selling your names. Stay safe sythers! :p

MotherYar187- there have been tons of Sythe members banned for Sniping/Recovering RSN's as it is against the rules & they didn't have to confess to doing it to get caught.

WARNING!!! PLEASE READ BEFORE SELLING RSN/RSN's

I'm not trying to argue, i just can't see how somebody can get caught sniping a name? I'm not being hostile i just don't understand it. If somebody snipes a name, nobody knows who did it at that point in time. The only way people can find out who it was, is if the person who sniped it talked about it.

Unless there is something i am missing, enlighten me :p

WARNING!!! PLEASE READ BEFORE SELLING RSN/RSN's

It doesn't necessarily have to be a confession. Name seller A snipes rare name during transfer that he saw was sold on Sythe. Name seller A then tries to resell that same rare name at a later point in time and a user reports him for it.

It's easy to prove ownership of a name before you transfer it. Of course you could say it got sniped and have transferred it successfully, but that wouldn't make too much sense - usually when people say a name got sniped it's because it got sniped, not because they're lying (what motive would they have to lie anyway?).

Basically, when a name gets transferred it's pretty obvious if it is sniped based on the buyer's testimony and whether the name is on a fresh account or an account with a [#LKSJDF230]-type previous name.

Of course it's impossible to tell who sniped a name which is why most snipers get caught and banned during resale (occasionally a friend rats them out as well). I guess this would qualify as self-admittance, but it's not done directly to staff so it can't be deemed confession.

I also take mild offense to the notion that you have to buy/snipe/recover good names. I spent a couple years collecting very good names without sniping/recovering/buying any of them. It just takes time and patience. Although, there do seem to be a lot more snipers (aka hack frauds) around lately... I'll give you that.

WARNING!!! PLEASE READ BEFORE SELLING RSN/RSN's

In a sense, trying to resell on sythe is self admittance. If the sniper took it to another website or something and sold it, the chances of the individual being caught are next to zero. If the sniper is merely a collector and doesn't re-sell names, he wouldn't be caught at all. I can think of a few reasons people would lie about names getting sniped. None of the reasons are logical however, mainly a revenge type ordeal. The buyer's testimony only means so much, unless they can prove that specific individual sniped their name, which is unlikely.

Having the name you purchased on a fresh account doesn't mean it was sniped by the accused. Generally you can assume a name is sniped following the guideline you provided, but you can't prove who did it, making it senseless to accuse. Based off of what you said, the seller would have to be stupid enough to try to re-sell the name where it would be recognized after they sniped it in order to get caught.

To sum it up, the person who sniped the name generally has to let the information out there on his own accord, whether that be reselling, telling a friend and having them rat. It boils down to the sniper getting careless. I didn't mean to offend about the obtaining names suggestion. I do have to mention though, you're the great minority if what you say is true and you actually do have very rare names. Gl with your sales.
