Question about the post(mail)

My amazon tracking says its at my local post office but since the mail already passed i didn't get the package or a pink slip saying to go pick it up. Is it possible for me to just show up at the post office and tell them im expecting a package? Waiting till its delivered to my house seems like a waste of time seeing as the package is like 10 minutes away.

 

Go down, i think you need a form of ID & take your slip, should be fine.

 

I dont have my slip. The mail passed. A bit after tracking showed that it arrived at the post office.

 

Just go there with I.D and proof of address like a bill or something. Then ask if they have any items that were undelivered to your address.

 

It could be that the package didn't arrive at the post office before the trucks were loaded for delivery. I would say the worst they could tell you is to wait until tomorrow. Try it and see

I'd print off the amazon tracking sheet, and take photo ID with you, they'll usually be co-operative and go and check if it's in the back for you.

 

I don't see why you couldn't, although if it's there you might as well just wait since it will be at your house the next day..
