What are you studying as a profession?

Hey guys so I haven't seen a thread for it so lets make it. Does anybody have thoughts on college/university or even the next school year?

I have 8 days until I start college here and I'm pretty pumped. Bummed that my summer felt very short but happy that I am only a few short years away from my computer engineering degree. Games in the past have occupied some time but I won't be spending nearly as much time on games this time around. Might be a one day a week kinda thing.

Who else is going to college/university and how much longer do you have until school starts?

About another 10 days until the start of the semester for me. I am going to be attending John's for about 2 years studying General Medicine. I am also pretty pumped and a bit scared of what I will be facing, still it all I am ready and very eager. My summer has been filled with studying and getting myself prepared for my new future so in the mean time fight of the wolves.

 

I don't go back until September, fortunately. Although i don't mind school, i feel as if i was unable to successfully complete many projects i set ahead for myself this summer.

What school will you be attending?

 

Im going to a city college in hopes of becoming a pediatrician meaning I would major in microbio while becoming diverse so I will minor in Music or Theater. While of course I will be transferring a University


I will be starting in 14 days. I didnt really get a summer :/ I took summer classes for extra financial aid .

I start college on aug 26th pretty excited. My summer has been long too so i cant complain there. Iv been off since early-mid may.

 

I'm going to the University of South Carolina for Computer Engineering. And I kinda see what yall mean. I'm ready to go and get this show on the road, but I also don't wanna have that dick as a roommate ha. My college has single rooms (4 dudes in one room but individual bedrooms) so its not bad, but still has room for the occasional asshole (might be me idk).

 

I almost went to South Carolina, loved that campus.

Its nice. Clemson is the engineering school but the campus is horrid so I opted for USC. Thank you btw.

 

You can always switch rooms and get a different roommate. I did that a few times when I went to Saint Marry's in Indiana.

 

Going to college in two weeks for firefighting. Pretty excited, need to take my physical on the 17th, and go from there.

 

I was torn between firefighting and engineering honestly. I'm glad you made up your mind on the matter . I'm still going to do volunteer FF after college is over.

Oculus, you are so lucky you got a dorm, thats the funnest part of college. It kind of asserts your independence. I wish I didn't have to wait until 2014-2015 to go to a University but ehhh I got kicked out of 3 high schools, I made my mistakes haha

Accounting and finance - assuming I make my grades when they are released this week.
I loved my economics and my business so this seemed like a smart choice.

Hoping to either work in the city or for one of the big accounting firms.

 

Ecology, hoping to get into med school.

 

I have an english major, I'm debating upon firefighter/police officer.

 

Computer Science, if that fails business management.

And for you being affraid of some studies.. I started my course without any computer knowledge and its on college level. I'm doing my last year now.
