    Sleeping and Dopey Looking....

    Lets start this off,
I AM NOT DOING ANY KIND OF DRUGS!
    I am 15, Male
Well lets start off with the sleeping, I go to bed around 9:30PM but don't fall to sleep most night ranging from 12:00am to 2:30am and after that I just stay awake all night, Then I have to wake up at 5:30am to get ready for school, This issue as this happen to be right before school started so I was like half a sleep the whole day.... Not sure if just my brain or it's something serious...

The other thing is my eye lids right on the edge are red and looks like I am "Stoned" Aka "Smoking Weed" Which I don't do as I think it's just a waste of money.... Not sure why it does that....

    Just asking,
    Thanks,
    Fivebots

Well could be that you are coming off of summer break so your body has to become more enhanced to taking the beating of lack of sleep and long days. The problem could also be your sleeping pattern naps during the day or even drinking soda or monsters during the day. Things like that interrupt your bodies natural sedative for sleep. You could try putting yourself on a daily schedule for naps, early bedtimes or taking sleeping medication, back when I was attending High School after going for about 3-4 months I went to bed at the same time and always woke up at the same time without an alarm clock because I had disciplined myself to sleep and wake every day so it became natural to me. Maybe doing activities to keep yourself up throughout the day and wearing yourself out wile at school and taking a nap right when you get home from school then homework, shower and sleep might help you sleep throughout the night helping you have healthier mornings. .... just thoughts.

Hey Fivebots, I've actually had this problem for awhile.

First things first, you need more sleep man. When I was your age, I had trouble sleeping, which came from plenty of nightmares I had, so that's the first thing, when you sleep, do you have nightmares? Also, do you have a good place to sleep? There are plenty of contributing factors that will lead into this. You reddened eyes is from strain on your eyes, and not enough sleep, I'm sure.

With more information, I can add more onto this.

If you're not falling asleep till 2:30am and you need to wake up at 5:30am well there's your problem, you need to find someway to put yourself to sleep a hell of a lot earlier, that's the reason your eyes are so red and you look like a "stoner."

I had the same problem, I'd sleep for 5 hours everyday and I couldn't help it because I just wasn't tired, I did this for like 2 months and I just was NEVER tired it was like I had unlimited energy lol. As above said, it's because your body was probably used to going to bed late because on weekends I don't get to sleep till 1am+
Your body will get used to it eventually you just need to force yourself to sleep, listen to soft music, read a book, drink warm milk etc.

Have your mom go on Amazon and buy two natural supplants called melatonin and GABA. Melatonin is a natural thing produced in your body and it's what makes you fall asleep. Taking melatonin helps you get sleepy fast, rather than have to wait all night for your body to produce enough to knock you out. GABA is perfect if you're restless at night, or highly stressed. It helps calm your mind which helps you fall asleep.

You're probably on the computer until you go to bed, right? Do something more relaxing, read a book or something, rather than be glued to a screen. If you do then your body takes a while to wind down.

Start doing something that you know relaxes you roughly an hour before you go to sleep. Also if the problem is that persistent I would just recommend going to your general doctor and telling him/her what is going on.

I hear that if you're a laptop user / bed worker that you will have trouble falling asleep on your bed since you're used to using your computer or doing homework on it. Luckily, I don't have that problem =].

If you don't have addictive traits I'd recommend you start taking that new Z-quill or some type of natural vitamin that puts or body at rest. Once you get back to a normal sleep routine, you can kick the pills and get back on track.

I think that's the problem, since my brother doesn't go on the computer anymore I don't get off the computer, and on weekends I get of the computer around 11:30PM-12:00Am (Friday, Sat) to watch t.v to 2, I had 10 hours sleep it's 12;42pm now

When I'm on the computer for to long my eyes get strained and are red and itchy and if I don't get enough sleep after they get puffy and I look stoned or that I have pink eye. All I can offer for advice is put a spoon in the freezer every night and when you wake up, hold it on your eyes for a few minutes and it'll get less red and puffy. If you need medication to help you sleep go see a doctor I'm sure there's something you can take before bed.

Come off the computer at 10 latest,.. read a book or something for half an hour and then go to bed. Don't come off the computer at 12/1 and then go straight to bed, your mind's still racing then.

    Listen to Roary.

Also, if you want to sleep early, go for a jog or workout when you get in from school or wherever. That will make you physically tired and you'll sleep like a baby.

Have to agree with Roary, you need to do something to relax your mind before you go to bed. I find that my mind is most active when I'm sitting in the dark after being on the computer. Train yourself to get off the computer 15-30mins earlier and read a book, yoga, meditate? Idk whatever else you're interested in. :)

    Sleeping and Dopey Looking....

This is of the most helpfull answers here...

It happened a lot to me, I kept been asked if I smoked weed, which I never did. You have to put something cold into your eyes, and the red will start to go off. Also dont stay on the computer/tv for a long time, max 2 hours, then take a break of 10-15 mins, then you can come back, same as with TV, reading. I have a problem in which my eyes get tired easily so they get red. I started using glasses and washing my eyes with cold water, the red around my eyes is now gone (it comes back when I dont follow these steps though) also a good sleep always help (but the red in your eyes isnt just because you arent sleeping well, of course its one of the factors)
