How do you treat others?

I'm extremely adamant on the entirety of human rights, equality and diversity.

After reviewing the "how do you dress" thread, I've noticed lots of people with poor, aggressive and simple minded attitudes. I'm curious as to how you treat people on a daily basis.

I.e.. Are you a sexist, racist, homophobe, do you stereotype different genders, races, sexual preference or nationally?

The below person can also give input on you assuming they've had previous experience with you.

 

I'm someone whose fair and treats others by how they treat me and treat other people. Skin color, race, gender, sexuality it doesn't matter I hate you all equally until I meet you and get to know you.

 

I try my best not to judge people, it's something I'm working on. Sometimes I just naturally make asdumptions about someone based on how they appear or what they listen to or how they act when I hate it when people judge me. I've learned to bite my tongue a bit more.

I'm generally a very understanding person, I'm good at seeing things from different people's points of view.

Apparently the human brain will decide, within 90 seconds of meeting someone, if you like them or not.

I have no idea how I treat people in real life. I am not mean or rude to anyone on purpose. I am also always willing to give someone a second chance.

 

I make plenty of assumptions but who doesn't. Unless they treat me poorly, I treat them with the dignity and respect they deserve. :')

 

This is kind of a strange question. Everything is totally circumstantial..

Do I go around "judging gays"? No, but if I see two guys making out in a line or grabbing on each other, of course I'm going to say what their doing is disgusting, and I'll probably get called a homophobe. But honestly I'd do it to hetero couples too...

If I see a transy, I'm not going to spark up a debate with them, or say anything for that matter. Doesn't mean I agree with anything they do.

If I see a "Ghetto looking" kid walking down the street, my first instinct is to pay little attention (Though I usually continue watching until out of view) unless he's really being suspicious. If I see a group of people walking or driving around blaring explicit music or shouting obscenities, I'm going to assume that they have no respect for anyone around them (Otherwise they wouldn't do that), so they will be labeled as a "might as well be a thug" in my mind. It's cool though, I know I was once labeled that way, and deserving of it too.

Honestly, what do you expect? This is the internet after all. Most people are trolling but if they do believe the shit that that they are spouting out on a forum, 9 times out of 10 they aren't going to be saying it to the persons face.

I'm not sexist, racist, homophobic, etc and I also believe in human rights and equality. Some people are just ridiculous and need to be dealt with or ignored.

 

i try not to judge people, damn roary we got the same issue. i'm also working on it. i'm always trying to be friendly to everybody and listen and try to understand what they willing to tell me or whatever like that.

Although i slightly agree with your statement, the Internet is still a society with actions punishable by law. It doesn't give make your actions justifiable just because it happens on a network.

All of this basically describes me as well. I've been extremely materialistic and superficial in the past. Lately, for about a year or so I've been slowly halting first impressions. Slowly, I've been able to see people are the same. Occasionally I'll jump to conclusions immediately but I've gotten to the point where i can stop, acknowledge what I'm doing and rationalize. It takes time but eventually you can see people different, as an equal.

 

I treat them equally unless they are Serbs.

 

I treat people how I want to be treated.
I do judge people, it's logical to judge people. For example, I wouldn't walk through a gang of skin heads with tattoos late at night in an ally. However if they all looked like super nerds, I'd walk right through them without a bother.
I'll also judge people on what they say.

I hate when people treat you as in your looks your beauty your origin of country / origin of race, this is the focal point if any of these things breaks dont even try talk / communicate with me

 

I always try to be nice to people, avoid judging, I do get mad easily over little things so it's hard for me ;p

i treat everyone with respect. people who do not respect me get reported to the police.

 

Ive been nicer to people in college than high school. High school people are douches and whether I knew them or not, I treated them like dirt. Did everyone deserve to be treated like that? No. But I was not getting close to people who were going to be a douche to me.
