I might have a tumor growing in my left breast

I'm a 19 year old girl, and last year around February ( yes, I should have went to the doctor at that moment, but I don't know why I didn't ) I found a small lump on my left breast. It wasn't that big, it was small and sort of hard-ish. I was a bit shocked to see this, who wouldn't be shocked to see lumps on their body? But my friends assured me that it's normal for women to have lumps, telling me that one of their sisters had a lump too, got it checked and was told that it wasn't that serious. So I just shrugged it off.

Now, a week before, I noticed that same lump has grown big. It pokes out of my breasts, and it's clearly noticeable when I stand in front of the mirror to check it. I don't need to touch it, it's just there - I can see it. So day before yesterday, I went to the gyno to get it checked. Her responses? She got shocked, and told me I should have come earlier, and that lumps, especially in breasts, is always not a good sign. She asked me if my family had any signs of breasts cancer, but nope. So chances of breasts cancer is less.

Description: ball like hard-mass, movable, painless.

Yesterday I took an afanasy examination, the doctor took out tissues and blood directly from the lump. Trust me, I was scared as shit, I couldn't even look straight, I had to look away as the doctor was forcefully inserting his needle right into my hard-mass lump.

I'll get the results on Saturday, I hope it's not a tumor. And yes, I'm scared.

 

The advances in medicine these days are astounding, you'll be well taken care of. I hope it's nothing, fingers crossed for you.

 

I hope all goes well. If it makes you feel anybetter my grandmother is a 30 year survivor of breast cancer. she is 80 years old and still can't get her to slow down =)

I pray that its just a benign mass. Breast cancer runs through my family so I get checked every six months just to be sure.

Word of advice: If you ever experience anything abnormal with your body, be it masses or other body issues, please get it checked out. You know your body better than anyone!

 

Think positive, there are many things it could be! You're still so young and breast cancer is more common in older women. I'm sure you'll be fine. but now you know that next time you notice anything abnormal on your body to seek medical attention right away!

 

This is frightening news. My wife had the same problem but on her thigh a couple years ago. Breasts and legs are different, but it had the exact same description. Luckily for us it was just a small growing cyst and the following week we got it removed.

My mother had the same but in the back of her ear, I'm not exactly sure on the area where it was found but it was pretty scary and they got to her early and she's been healthy ever since, I hope all goes well and it's nothing bad that can be taken care of quick.

 

Behind the ear are usually lymph nodes, my girlfriend has had surgery for those. They're cancerous too. She was treated and is now recovering fine.

My mother has breast cancer, I found out when I was 14 I was really sad and scared/upset but shes doing great now just keep doing the things you like in life and think positive & and never look back or even think about it just go to check up's now and then, hopefully this made you think good etc GL!

 

As Roary said... Modern medicine is epic now a days.. No matter what it is you'll probably be fine.
Just keep positive good luck and make sure you tell us what it is when you find out
