Hello!
I have been wondering so many times our bump system.

- Why it cant be automatic if ur like donator +100$ or own over 500 posts?
- Why you need allways spam to ur wall that BUMP? (looks ugly)
- Why it cant be only 1 button like this:



Is this solution too hard make?
- You can only 1 click button when you want bump you own post up(ofc it got timer) and there dont need read "Bumb" like 100 times.

 

I know other forum providers have a similar service, not sure if they include timers though. It's definitely something I would support.

I like the button picture, but I don't think you should need to donate or post 500 first...

 

The donator/post automated bump is an absolute terrible idea. There would be several threads being bumped at once making the bump completely useless.

As for the button, like people have said. It has been suggested before and denied many times. I think it's due to the version of vbulleten we use or something I'm not too sure.

 

Just because it's been denied 1218401 times doesn't mean you cannot stop trying... there are things that get denied then accepted as time goes on...

Regardless, I wouldn't like a button that does this... I think it is useful for staff to see the 20 pages of bumps only so that they can take the proper action against the would-be scammer =].

 

Automatic bump - No. People would have to request locks to stop inactive threads bumping again, which is more effort than bumping.

Bump button - Same time taken to bump, bump posts can be deleted if you don't want them to be visible.

 

Why its works on other sites but not here?

No reason when people can just post. Adding a bump button and/or timer adds unnecessary bulk to the site. The system we have now is fine as it is.

I don't necessarily agree with that, but obviously they've considered it and decided against.

 

The button idea would be so cool if they implemented it.

 

Hell no to automatic bump. People would forget about old threads and they would just keep going to top despite being dead.

Bump button sounds a smart idea though...stops endless pages of 'bump'; which actually reduces bulk.

 

A bump button would be cool as it would eliminate people who double bump etc but the idea of an automatic bump is a terrible idea

 

Everyone should be treated on the forum equally (clearly mods are treated differently, but I'm sure you got what I ment.) , so the post count/donor rank levels to access the bump button - I don't support.

A bump button - I wouldn't mind too much, I like how Sythe is different from other forums. Hate for it to lose it individuality.

 

Why waste time making a bump button when it literally takes 5 seconds to type?

 

takes 5 seconds for me to get up and change the volume manually on my television, yet i use the remote.

 

Installing a Bump plugin will take about 10 minutes from my own experience (IPboard) while tons of people safe seconds daily which has returned the 10 minutes installing within days if not less.

Another thing I come across on this thread is automatic bumping, this is the worst idea ever.

I think a legit argument of denial would be search engines who pickup Sythe less in their top rating when there's less content posted. If we decide the bring up the bump button on Sythe there will be less people visiting Sythe via Google ect. I'm very curious, could someone post data on how many first time visitors come via Google?
