Progress!

Someone ordered an avatar, fully custom made from me.
He wanted someone in dark clothes, with a completely non-visible face, sitting on a throne.




Last image looks LQ for some reason :S
Most has been done using the smudge tool.

 

Job well done! I'm impressed lol. How long did it take you and what programs were used?

 

Around 5 to 7 hours don't know exactly, as I have had several breaks.
I used photoshop cs6 with my mouse ;p
My tablet doesn't work anymore, for some reason it won't start up.

 

I'm loving the look of it. Very nicely done. I wish I had artistic talent to be able to draw something like this. I'd be very interested to watch a video of you doing this or something along the lines of a progress video or something.

 

I don't really have an eye for graphics so I won't leave a detailed critique but that picture is right up my alley. I think it looks pretty cool, what did you charge him for that?

 

wow that looks grate. especially how you did it with a nouse.

 

$15, might seem much, but it's a unbelievably small amount when you think about how many thread designs/signatures I could of made in the time.

I thought about starting a YouTube channel for graphic design, but I currently have a 6kb/s connection while on my holidays, so that won't happen anytime soon
I think I will do some videos, but not for the next 6 weeks atleast.

 

Nice job man! Seeing the development is really inspiring for me, I usually get half way done something cool but then stop because I dont want to ruin it..

Was this done in greyscale? Or do I see some faint blues on his hands?

 

I did it in RGB, but only used black, grey and white.
So actually yeah, it's done in greyscale ;p

 

I really enjoy seeing people that have some tallent instead of your usual paint masterpieces you see now and again. Very nice.

 

Loving the progress. I would actually also love to know how you did that with just a mouse... seems impossible. What brush do you use for your mouse drawings?

 

Sup broski, not too big of a fan of the last one's bottom since i'd avoid destruction smudging alot. Hand are very very well done tho i find hands really hard hehe.

I have a final version without that bottom.
As for the hands, I think I was unbelievably lucky lol.
It took me like 5 times revising the hands.
I first made the hand without fingers.
After that I added the fingers, that's probabbly the reason they don't really look awful

what i mean is, these kids here sure, they can learn a program and make graphical designs, but they have no real artistic talent.

 

i agree about 80-90% dont know nothing but how to use c4d an a bit of photoshop.
an it is nice to see something diffident like this. an not copying all the other designers.
