Let it become this awful "breeding ground" by all means then, what's wrong with a little bit of motivation. Nobody gets on CDT without a majority vote that upper-staff are involved in, and nobody on CDT is untrustworthy. What's the big problem besides that UE and OGV (which by the way, are totally different things) didn't work out? Clearly we're so irresponsible and rank hungry that we don't deserve it.

 

You are an idiot. You've failed to even touch on, let alone address, any of the points I mentioned.

Time to follow art's lead and walk away from the thread, too many kids chasing ranks to try and debate logically.

I'm not even part of CDT, nor do I want to be. What points haven't I touched on? I've replied to and addressed every post you've made towards me.

You just ignored my post, actually proving yourself to not have an argument for my points there.

 

A little bit of motivation does no harm.

• Abused, they get kicked
• Not abused, we are identifibale and receive some sort of incentive

Users join the CDT, help in the first couple events and what not that they see and then realise that we just get hated on for trying to help and produce things to keep the community alive.

I appreciate you think we do a good job and that the CDT is a positive thing on Sythe, but all you've really said is

1. "People will join/apply for the rank" - Clearly not if they aren't accepted for that reason. We're well aware who's genuinely a contributor and who isn't no matter what they say on their application.
2. "People should go to the suggestions section" - Y'know why they don't? Bcause the same people that hate on anything positive just shoot down their ideas. People don't want to 'put themselves out there' otherwise they're "try-hards". If people knew who to come to, we'd have a lot more ideas to work with.

In regards to the sponsorship thing, if people actually see that CDT is made a big deal of, rather than just one thread in the Community General section, they'll ask more questions, go looking for what we do and ultimately take part in what we do. Because the CDT section is for CDT only, how else do they know the CDT is actually a serious thing.

 

Ranks won't made CDT a big deal. Please review the thread I posted there about half an hour ago. I think we should at least get it organized before we get ranks, so people in there have a genuine monthly responsibility.

I'd vote yes, but I understand that there are risks if you do allow this. Simply with people abusing others trust.

Don't see why I wouldn't be allowed to have [motm] in my tags, it makes my title look better and it draws more customers, I'm not doing it for trust or anything.

 

This has my full support, it's an incentive for all the time and effort the CDT members put forward. The only thing that I'd be worried about (which has been discussed as above), is some members using the title for trustworthiness.. Swadq? Chloecat? Take for example, chloecat used her MOTM title to self proclaim trustworthiness, editing titles etc.

Nevertheless has my full support!
