New way to transfer steam funds?

I'm just posting this to hear what others have to say about it.

So I was talking to some guy about making a steam trade. I asked him if he'd accept any steam game of his choice, as the only currency I had available was steam wallet funds. He recommended something that I thought was kinda neat. So he told me to sell him a trading card or some marketable item for a little more than what they were selling for (I;e I sell a .13$ card for .20$) and he'd buy it. I'd buy it back for however much he wanted from my steam wallet.

Call me a noob if everyone knows this, but I thought I'd share for the newcomers out there. Anyone find any issues with it? To me it sounds like a neat way to do business when you have steam wallet funds you want to sell.

 

It would be a great way to do it if valve didn't take a cut. Just my opinion though

 

Forgot about the taxing they put on it. So Valve can start making money off RWT now

I checked with the taxing for price variables.
Goes as follows:
5$ -> 5.75$
15$ -> 17.50$
50$ -> 57.50$
100$ -> 115$

While I don't think it would be wise to make large trades like this, smaller trades are still worth it if you don't have the means to pay with other currency.
