This is not a sythe currency. What that entry of the DNS list pertains to, is a currency such as what d2jsp has in place. This is different.

I support the idea. Would be cool to have earnable points which can be redeemed via a VBShop for miniranks and possibly other goodies which could be implemented in the future.

A problem to be sure, but if you just make the price of miniranks... lofty, then it'd be less of a problem. In my opinion, the points shouldn't be something you work towards for a day and you have enough for a minirank EVERY DAY, they should be grossly over priced. That way, they're hard to obtain, and when people dice for them, they're actually taking risks.

Not nothing else, just miniranks to start since they're the major incentive for activity on the forum atm. If an RSPS comes up, or Le Kingdoms grows, it could be used in those features as well.

Miniranks should be more expensive than 150-200 so they remain exclusive-- something to work towards. Whatever the "strength" of the points (whether you earn 100 for $5 donations, or 10,000), it's my opinion that it should take at least a few days of average activity to earn enough for a minirank.

So if you get 100 for a donations, 1 point for each post, 3 points per hour online, then a minirank should cost about 200 points for the least desirable one. 500 for ones like LSP, 1000 for pokeball (Y)

Also as a side note, admins should wipe everyone's miniranks (minus forum participation ranks) so no one has a crazy unfair advantage.

This and hopefully more, "forum points" is an awesome forum feature, but it just needs something worth spending them on, and now that we have miniranks, we've got something worth spending them on

 

What do you think of the idea of creating a new fun rank/use old one and having it cost like 10,000,000 points?

Should take waaay more than a few days otherwise they'll end up worse than it is. Unless it takes a considerable amount of time, then the whole idea isn't much help

 

I support this idea as long as it takes not just effort but time to obtain these points, other wise every 12 year old will be running around with them.

 

Just an idea, if this does go through, you can maybe put up to buy a custom UI for a very very high amount on points.

 

"A few days" was a gross moderation, more like 2 weeks for the cheapest imo
