    Superheating to 99 smith/magic?

I've been thinking of random things that would be bottable and produce neat results. I'm sure there's likely to be an oldschool superheat bot somewhere, so my questions are these:

If starting from about 43 magic and 40 smithing.. is it possible to make a profit with superheating to 99 smithing?

If not, what is the most cost effective way to do it, and what is the fastest way to do it?

If superheating to 99 smithing, how close to 99 magic will you get?

I was breaking even a few weeks back, I can't say for sure now though.

Were you doing steel, or gold with gauntlets? Those are the two main methods I've come across in various searches.

I'm pretty sure superheating gold with gauntlets is the fastest way, it will end up costing about 65m though. You'll get 99 mage as well though, or close enough to it.

If you're looking for a profit, you can make a small amount with higher level bars like adamant.

At the moment I'm smelting gold to 99, which is going to cost about 20m.

I Superheated Iron ore from 53-99, it was around 33m and it got me 83 smithing.

Exp rates were around 80k/hr Magic and 23k/hr Smithing.

So would it work relatively well to do gold to a high level, at a loss, and then switch to addy/rune at the higher level?

    Superheating to 99 smith/magic?

calc'd this 2 weeks ago so not sure if prices are exact same

From 55 magic you need 242800 super heats for 99
From 50 Smithing you need 230200 Gold ore for 99

    230200 Gold ore costs 69.1m
242800 nature runes costs 58.3m give or take a mill
127.4m to purchase Nats + Gold ore

230200 gold bars (if were to just sell gold bars = 55.3m (240 ea)

doing gold ammys could get 92-93 Crafting and sell for 250-260 ea = 57.6m
doing gold bracelets could get 91-92 Crafting and sell for 280 ea = 64.5m

    Superheating to 99 smith/magic?

So that's about a 60m cost for 99 smithing (and 97/99 magic).. How long roughly would that take, do you know? I don't know the rates that superheated can get with a good bot.

And how long extra would the crafting take? I hadn't even considered what I'd do with the bars at the end.
