Jagex has new way of detecting bots?

Number of bans in last days has risen too much. I wonder what could possibly cause that. Any ideas?

 

Are you talking about yourself personally, or just in general?

I don't think they have any new methods, sometimes they just 'try harder', and do things like manual bans on all of the very obvious looking botters.

 

I am talking in General (also my experience). As you probably know ,around every botting forum number of threads about mass bans has risen signitificialy.

@OP: Is this directed towards OSRS or RS3?

 

I was banned earlier today on my main account, I haven't botted since pre-RS3 release, just used the new RSBot client.

 

Like Yohojo said, there are some times that they just 'try harder'.
I don't think there is anything new, really.

 

A lot of people have been banned recently for just logging in the powerbot client.

 

Its very likely that Jagex is detecting name of window you are playing RS in.

 

It's possible they can do that, it's fully within their power, but through the testing of SRL-6 and the new SMART setup (all for Simba, of course) we've had scripts up and running for RS3 for some time now and no one has been hit for using Simba. So I would imagine it's not the focused client name that Jagex is detecting at this time...

I was using my script OldSchool PC script with SIMBA and SMART 7.2 for 4 months without problem. (neither ban) ,but I got banned few days ago also on new made account (which has been botted like 2 hours totally with SMART)

 

After reading this, it is quite obvious Ironhide is just trying to cover for PB. He doesn't sound 1 bit convincing.

Read Ironhide's first couple replies after his post. The guy is a moron and can hardly type in proper English. I don't trust him at all.


That being said, botting sucks anyway.

 

most of the bots i see on 07 are very slow and when they are beat in getting the resource after a few times they get broken , most likely they are doing manual bans on obvious bots, and probably got some new "weapon" that they are using for the bans when you login with some bot clients

 

same here.. i just logged in via the client and was banned.

 

Was it a first time offence for botting?

 

More reports than usual my arse, anyone who runs farms for this game know something has been up lately.

I've stopped all my accounts right now, too dangerous.
