Mute minor

I received a minor mute today for asking for personal info I think it was.. It says I'll be unmuted in less than a day but it also says it expires in a year.. Do I get unmuted in a year or what? I've never really noticed this happen to me

 

No you will get unmuted in a day but your offense will expire as in you will still be able to see it there but the offense won't count toward the meter.

 

You get unmuted in a few hours, but the offense fully disappears from your account along with its black marks in a year

I received a mute like you that was gone within 3 hours I appealed it but no response. It expired before jagex looked at my appeal.
