My names.

So I recently logged onto my account "Helmet", last login over 200 days ago. Anyways, my name is changed to "player(random numbers here)". What's with that?? I think my others are as well...

It's because you were selling them publicly. Someone working for Jagex must've seen it.

Yep, all of my names are done for.... what's really stupid, is that I never directly gave proof of ownership. I just typed them out.

Couldn't anyone just post a thread saying they are selling a name they don't have just to get them deleted? This is so lame.....

Sad to see "Mail" is out of circulation as well, a buddy I knew had that name and was trying to sell it when he quit =\

 

Jagex did this to me late last year. I lost around ten very good names; after posting on the (now removed) display names thread the JMods said they were deleted because I was selling them, which I was.

However, since as you stated, having a list of names is hardly proof you are the one who owns them, I disputed the case. Mod Weath messaged the account I made my complaint on to inform me 'we cannot send you evidence that shows you were selling names because it would direct you to RWT websites' - which is humorous considering the 'RWT website' is the one I used to sell the names in the first place.

They never returned my names to me and that was that. I did learn never to publicly list rare display names - the one positive aspect xD
