Is it safe to bot on OSRS?

I wanna bot experiments on my account using OSBOT, but since this will be my first time, I want to ask if its safe to bot. With this I mean if there's any anti-botting security or such. Anyone been banned lately for botting?

There is always a risk when botting.
Just stick with the more popular/widely used bots and monitor scripts to make sure they are stable. Use common sense and don't bot absurd hours and you will be quite safe.
Check out the sticky in the 2007 section which lists out all of the current bots.

 

Yes there are anti bot secrurity. So, like always, a ban risk is there.

 

my obby mauler just got perm banned there so @ 95 str . Rip bank and time on 55 slayer and quests... But anyways, u dont get perm banned on the first time anyways ull get a 2 day or 14 day ban so may aswell go for it until then

 

I've been using this bot for quite some time now and if you bot properly nothing will happen at least nothing happened to me so far.

 

Technically...no. Botting itself is not risk free, but you could reduce your risks by babysitting

 

You'll always get banned if you bot stupidly.

Like 24/7 for example.

Bot normal hours that people would play (ex: "after school", evening, a bit of the night)

Also, use scripts that lots of people use, so you know they're stable and won't flag your account fast.

I just started botting yesterday, I am unsure if OSBOT is actually safe or not but if failed in various randoms already..

Yes, just make it reasonable. You wouldn't be able to play OSRS for a week straight so make sure you take breaks

 

Actually there's kinda a high ban rate going on for a while and to whoever said there's anti-bot security that's false all bots are made by jmods manually currently.
