Texas teen could get 10 years in prison for Facebook post

All he did was troll and post something really obscene but in his defense he did do the internet protocol after saying something extremely offensive and say "LOL" and "JK" right after. This whole thing really went out the window and to be honest I've seen a lot of worst things being said all the time on 4chan and facebook.

Even though he did say he was just kidding it doesn't change the fact at how sick and stomach turning his post really was but I don't think jail time is necessary maybe facebook termination and commuinty service but really 10 years in prison?

Good news: an anonymous person posted his outrageous $500,000 bail.
$500,000 bail in Texas for sarcastic Facebook comments with trumped up charges... another state on my list of places not to live.

 

I'm glad he's free but after I read this part I almost cried like seriously what were they thinking? He's going to need some sort of therapy for years and even then he'll still never be the same. If I was the father I'd sue, don't know who'd I sue but god damn someone would be getting sued.

 

He will get out and when he does he will sue the texas police for wrongful arrest as well as pain and suffering and he will get a large cash settlement

I don't know why anyone would say that unless they were messed up in the head. Iv force him to do some therapy instead of the jail time but i honestly cannot say i feel sorry for him.

This case is just bullshit. Someone finally came and paid this kids $500,000 bail... After he was locked up for months without a trial. His speech is obviously protected under the first amendment. He was beyond obviously joking. Anyone who could not see that is a borderline retard. This kid has had so many of his rights violated and has had his life thrown completely off track over absolutely nothing. I hope he sues the fuck out of the police after this for his mistreatment and I hope he gets a lot of money. This case is fucking ridiculous and a fucking stain on the justice system and our constitution.
