Are Friends/College Over-Rated?

Lets just put it on the table:

I have 0 friends. I had tons back in high school, but after that, I have none. All of them went abroad to study, and I'm stuck here just working with my dad in his company.

From what I hear/see, about college, is: girls, friends, alcohol, drugs etc..

What do you see from all this? Is it really something I'm missing out?

Movies like "american pie", or "euro trip"...is that really how it is? (or close)

SO: Is it over-rated?

 

Movies are really unlike reality .. especially American Pie and the likes.

College is/was the best years of my life. Travelling, holidays, spending time with like-minded people as well as loads of different characters and personalities. It's good for you

 

movies arn't even close to the real thing, atleast not here.

 

Who was that other faggot that kept making all of the advice/college threads? Because I guarantee you're the same person and you're ban evading.

Both kids posted threads about going to college, or if it was a waste of time, and mentioned that their parents owned million dollar companies.

To my mind highschool friendships are the strongest ones. Friends in college start to care about money and women and frienship cedes them ground. Still, college is worth it(as I'm sure you care about women and money too )

Im going to college this fall. Hopefully it will be okay. Im only going cause my parents want me to. As soon as i save up im gunna move out and do what iv wanted to for a while.

 

if you're going to college just to make friends, you're wasting a ton of money just to meet new people. you go to college to learn and get a degree so you can hopefully get ahead in life or do something that you enjoy, going to a few parties and joining social circles are just small benefits.
