Solutions on OSRS Dying

They should bring back the useful updates that came pre-Eoc. GWD, Ge etc.

 

THey do have plans on doing that I believe. Everything will be polled, so expect to see gwd in the next few months

 

One of the JMods, I forget who, said the Grand Exchange would never be seen in Oldschool RS.

 

I honestly think there is noway to stop it from dying. It'll happen eventually, and theres nothing we can do about it since 1. We're not getting any new players on 07 :S

 

07 Is dying because it's too repetetive. There's nothing to switching from except but boring dscim to dds pk or low-profit pure pking.

 

Make it free to play, but you need members to be able to trade!

 

Thats not a good idea at all...you need members to trade? Honestly, how the hell would you aquire items if you were f2p lol?

 

Ge will never come back. It is the update that made the community obsolete.

 

07 rs didn't need to happen, eoc was just meant to be a game of it's own.

If they actaully listen to players and add updates it would not be "dying"

 

At least there are updates that will keep old school servers as fresh as possible. Once they stop updating, people will actually complete the game and then quit once there is nothing new to do

Mod reach said about the possibility of a different story line in the current quests or hell, even a new skill that's not seen even on the eoc.

 

That's terrible really. I hate to autotype for 20-30 minutes until I get something sold...

 

Goldfarmers are keeping game going? NO.
Simply it can be seen on EOC, how goldfarmers ruined game.

Is OSRS dying? NO.
I can not see one reason why it should be dying. Yes some players left (it was expected to happen) . But I do not see reason why it should be dying.

To players who hate no-GE. Did you ever tried selling through official forum and zybez market?

 

Yes, I actually did, but it took long time, and most of the buyers are merchanters who expect the item to be sold for 10% under it's actual price.

 

gwd and f2p should definitely be implemented

 

No one plays f2p, f2p is literally just a staging point for botting/goldfarming. Online gaming has escalated to where every game carries a subscription, or an up front fee, not like a decade ago when RS was becoming popular.
