Banned.

Any chance this could be written?


If a player is banned, on the Sythe profile there can be a link that takes users to the scam report in which led to there ban? For those who scammed multiple people multiple links can be added. A possible location for this could be were the signatures of those profiles used to be. Also this isn't for previous banned users unless an algorithm can be written that automatically syncs this up but just for bans from if this gets approved onwards?



Such a pedantic user but I kind of dont mind the one step process rather then using google etc.. Only if this is easy to write up if it involves more effort then it's actual worth I wouldn't care if its flushed. Thoughts guys?

This works fine if you want to know about a certain user.

 

That seems like it would be somewhat difficult, since it's a different thread for every person the admins would have to go through and compile scam reports for each person that gets banned and place them in their profile/signature, unless the admins are all happy to do that then i don't think we'll be getting it any time soon, as Roary said, just Google the persons name and look at the scam reports, this just seems like a lot of work for the admins to take away a little bit of work on your side.

 

Also just to add, it couldn't really be automatic because some ban reasons are best kept private.

I wouldn't instantly attack the admins. As Roary stated, some ban reasons are best kept private. And what's wrong with just using google?

 

Agreed rofl it's not staff being lazy, i would consider this to be an idea that requires more effort then it is easy to make hence why if its scrapped it makes sense, i just think it might be a nice little addition to the site, there is no problem with google just if it anyone has time and it's not too hard to implement it wouldn't be that bad.

In Regards to banned accounts which are kept private, i'm sure a 'ban reason = private' could suffice

 

I really see no point to this. As stated before, the google username + scam usually works for most ban reasons. Others are kinda tricky to find out why -wink-. I don't know why staff here doesn't let the members know about ban reasons when asked... maybe just because it's annoying? I never had a problem telling people ban reasons on BA...

Since were on this subject, is there a thread or post that indicates all previous hackers/scammers? If so where can I find this.

The CDT are currently developing, or trying to develop, a scammer archive program.


Anywho, this isn't possible nor feasible. If it were automatic, information that couldn't be released may end up being released. If it wasn't automatic it would require extensive development for something that's easily done via the thread & google.
