Competition's sub forum

I always notice little competitions here and around sythe,

Such as

The sythe checkers thread,

The youtube video competition in spam forum

And a a lot of smaller yet still fun challeneges

I feel like I don't have a chance to partake In them because there's not a clear place to find them all I would think others may want to enter as well

Also with all this mini ranks talk you could add that in this section as well.

I know this wouldn't be that hard to implement and think it would strengthen the forum with a little friendly competition.

 

Competitions have always been held in community general, so having it as a sub-forum of that would be good. Support.

I am going to go ahead and show my support for this one as well. I have yet to participate in a competition because there hasn't been one since I have joined. But I plan on doing it in the future so it will be nice to easily figure out where they are.

 

I feel like we don't have enough competitions unless suggesting competitions will be in the section, and idea and so on will be in the section also, but I still feel like it would be sloppy having it all there.

 

Either there's something here that I'm not seeing, or this just a really good idea. I think it would make things more organized. Support.

There's been comps in different sections all the time, especially in the SF and people who are new don't understand to look there.

 

i suggest putting it as a sub section to community general and call it Community Comps, an have the same rule set as general, threads have to be approved by mods before they can be seen.

 

No support sorry. It will just be another dead sub-section that we don't need. It's fine under Community General as it currently is IMO. These type of things happen in either one of two places: The Spam Forum or Community General. It's not like competitions are going on in random sections, at least none that I'm aware of.

There are just not a lot of competitions going on at the moment to warrant a new sub-section...

Yea but it doesn't have to be just the current competitions , could have suggested , mini rank talk, maybe even a spot for the winners of competitions.

I don't think it would be a dead sub forum at least not until people don't care about mini ranks , if u enter the spam forum people are talking about these topics even now . I think my idea would be more of an official spot one where you won't get publicly lynched if you say something serious or dumb.

I mainly just want a place where current competitions are in one spot , but I think there's a lot that could be done here.

 

Sadly that's so true.. Competitions should NEVER be held there because people are just so nasty sometimes.
If I was a newcomer I know for a fact I wouldn't want someone saying that to me, I would want a more welcoming community.

 

I fully support this statement, when people hold competitions in the SF it's going to be the same people entering and it's going to be a major troll voting, as it's the 'spam forum' so people can just be unreasonable and troll/spam vote for someone.

 

Definite support, will make it much easier to locate competitions.
