    $19 over your budget but definitely worth it, the 144hz will make any game you play very smooth, with the option to use Nvidia 3d if you have an nvidia card.

    Also the 1ms response time will be a godsend in games although it is a TN panel and not an IPS all of the pros outweigh the cons imo.

    What do you plan on using the monitor for? General internet browsing? Gaming? Graphics work?

    Um.

    Both gaming and general browsing. I'd prefer something with better visual quality imo.

    I'd probably spend more time gaming than browsing tbh.

    If you prefer looks get an IPS, not sure on other brands but Dell U2312/U2412 or w/e models the newest atm are good monitors, 23" one is like $250ish on dell.com.au
