Should I go see my old friend?

Her and my parents were friends for ever so I've known her since as long as I can remember but her parents were always extremely greedy and they tried to sue us over bs to make a quick buck so I haven't talked to her in 2 or 3 years but recentely she was caught stealing something worth over 300$ I don't know exactly what it was...And apperently she is facing up to 5 years in prison so I kinda feel bad for her but in the same time their families greed put them in this position...

 

Unless shes a habitual offender, I highly doubt she will recieve jail time at all.

I guess it all depends on your feelings and if you really would want to potentially hurt your parents by seeing her. But it seems to me like shes traveling down the same road as her parents. Two things I can't stand, a theif, and a snake.

They sound like idiots, she's stealing bro and that's her choice at the end of the day. If you wanna see her then get on the webcam.

 

Don't let her parents decisions make up your mind for you, go see her for yourself and decide rather or not you want to stay friends based on your own opinion of her. Also stealing something that's worth 300 dollars is a petty crime she must have done something a lot worst to get five years in prison? Maybe she was charged with aggravated robbery which is a pretty big indicator to keep your distance. If I was you the first thing I'd do is find out what her charges are.

 

Would you have seen her before this? If the answer is no then you can't/shouldn't go see her just because she got herself into trouble.

 

It just sounds like a bad idea to me. Her and her family don't done very nice, so IMO it's best to stay away from them/her.

 

It all depends on you, whether you wanna meet her or not. But this is what I would do if I were you:
I wouldn't contact her at all because of what she did. Her parents are kinda greedy right? I don't want to be friends with such people who are only after money and nothing else.
But, it's your life, do what pleases you!

 

everyone actes here like she should be judged by her parents.

yes she made a mistake but i believe she deserves a second chances. her parents probably weren't the best parents out there so i would give her a chance.
