[CDT] Accepting applications!

Hey folks!
The Community Development Team is now looking for potential applicants.
Nothing is final in regards to the number of applications we're looking at accepting or when,
but we'd like to see the level of interest in the community for a position.

Applications are open to everyone; staff and non-staff.
We are looking for users who are creative, experimental, reliable and willing to put time and effort in to our future endeavors!

What skills are we looking for?

Creativity and imagination - Being on the CDT requires thinking outside the box to come up with unique, and possibly quite crazy, ideas for anything from community events and competitions to social media and advertising. From here we run with your ideas, adapt where necessary and try to put your plan in action as a team.

Willingness to assist and participate - When someone comes up with an idea it's essential that each member of the team should try to provide alternatives or constructive criticism to help aid the idea. You must be willing to do your fair share.

Ability to assess and take risks - Part of the CDT's mission is to try new and interesting things to liven up the community. If there's a chance your event may go horribly wrong, you must be confident enough to assess this and do your best to make it work. You can't be afraid of failure, we learn from our mistakes!

Team spiritied and dedicated - Possibly the most crucial skill to have. You must be able to communicate well with other users, differences aside, to be able to make our events work. Slacking and doing the minimum amount within the section and it's events will not help anyone. We need members who are keen to do their bit and work hard to advance the team. It is your duty to participate in every event you can to do this.

Yes, however I can't guarantee I'll be on at a certain time/date due to job/uni/social life, but you know I care

Do you guys do actually do things now, last time i was in it, it was more or less a secret hub for posting ideas that never got done.

first round batch of cdt members, and ex-ogv, and i deliver stone cold truth.

sythe is my life, without her i would die.

if people show up sure.

As of late we've had the monthly Omgpop tournament, Sythe Monthly & MotM and the Sythe lottery. However, we need some new life in there as quite a few members are inactive just now and I personally can't put anything else out because I get quite busy.

 

I may be interested in this.

Joining this team will give me that edge to put other ideas forward and help improve the ideas of others that people bring to the table.

2. What skills and qualities can you bring to the team?
I have an extremely creative mind, and writing and coming up with new ideas is one of my strong points, I also work extremely well with other people and I'm always friendly and open to new ideas.

3. How often are you on Sythe each week?
I'm on Sythe everyday, usually multiple times a day.

4. Are you willing to put aside free time to help with events etc?
Of course! I'm always willing to help out even if I don't get this spot.

- Why do you want to join the team?
I would like to be part of the creative group behind Sythe. I would love to share and be part of what makes this site better!
Being in the CDT would expose me to members that I wouldn't ordinarily meet or chat with unless they came to the Runescape section.

- What skills and qualities can you bring to the team?
I bring a more mature approach to issues. I can work well with others and I have a creative side that has not been tapped into yet.

- How often are you on Sythe each week?
I am on virtually everyday!

- Are you willing to put aside free time to help with events etc?
Most of my free time is spent online so that will not be a problem
I am willing to do what it takes and will actively host events myself if need be

I know that I am not the most active poster on Sythe nor the most well known user around here, but the CDT is something I have always wanted to be a part of!

I am a peoples person, great communication skills, friendly and easy to approach, hard worker, determined and focused. The ability to give it my best.

Why do you want to join the team?
As I have now finished school and have a lot of free time. I am a very willing to help out others and have high ambitions, and i strive to fulfill these ambitions. If i am set a task or set myself one I WILL complete it. I have a lot of neat ideas to enhance the sythe community
What skills and qualities can you bring to the team?
I am from the UK where as most of the sythe community is from the US, I am a very creative person and this is evident in the work that I have done for my school. I am very good at prioritizing tasks and also a very good listener. Where most people believe that there ideas are the best - I am able to take on board other peoples ideas and if they are better, I am able to give up mine in order for the benefit of the user despite the hard work I would have put into it. Compromising is also one of my better attributes where i can also take on board others feeback to improve.
How often are you on Sythe each week?
I am on Sythe/Laptop at minimum of 6 hours a day (sad i know) I am also from the UK so will be on at different times to the majority of the people which could be a benefit.
Are you willing to put aside free time to help with events etc?
More than happy to, I am very bored of sitting at home if I am honest.
Do you have anything to add?
I may not have a reputation for much, but I am a very hard worker and also empathetic if somebody cannot fufill a task then I will try my hardest to complete it for them. I may sound like I am a little bitch doing peoples work for them - yes at times if i feel it will benefit more people.

Why do you want to join the team?
For all I'm only newish I've really enjoyed the community atmosphere and would like to be more involved with it.
What skills and qualities can you bring to the team?I'm in my placement year (third year) of studying Computer Science and currently working for the UKs biggest software company so anything technical and I can offer a helping hand. From a personal point of view I'm an easy going and creative individual who works well in a team.
How often are you on Sythe each week?
On an average week 3-4 times for a couple of hours?
Are you willing to put aside free time to help with events etc?Yes I want to give a bit more back to the community.

Regardless of whether I get picked or not I'll still try and contribute to help out the CRT.
