Was Jagex the first MMO to do trade limitations like this??

2007 servers. pvp worlds is a close second though

 

Favorite update was the bounty hunter crators, although i loved pking as a pure back in the day, when the crators came out i made my account into a tank and i swear funnest form of pking ever!

2004 adding PMODs. I had the luxury to be chosen for simply me being myself.

 

You're so lucky! I always wanted to be a mod haha. I'm pretty sure they've stopped giving them out now cause a lot of people abuse their privilege (selling mutes) which was really big when dicing and flowering was about

 

removal of certs and the 3 hit rule.

E: None of the above mentioned are actually my favourite. However those two were irritating, so the removal of those two are a positive in my book.

the grand exchanged wasnt bad as it sorta came with a graphical update and showed us the new runescape we have today!

GWD. God Wars Dungeon added not just more fun into the PvM side of the game, but also a new range of armours and ways to make money. That was by far the highlight of my RS days.

What you on about fool? The 'Runescape mod' rank isn't a PMod on RS, it's moderators of the runescape section of sythe.org

 

Probably skillcapes. It turned what RuneScape was for me, a casual game to a hardcore game where if the skill was not level 99, you were a noob in said skill.

My favorite update would probably be the announcement of free trade, and the removal of gambling. Man I always hated hosts, especially the ones that scam

2007 servers for sure!

 

The best update to RS would have to be the addition of the Great Orb Project minigame (August, 2008). Not many people play it and its rewards have since become obsolete, but the gameplay is akin to the complexity of chess and is definitely one of the most genius additions to RS.

It's captured and kept my attention since I started playing it and although I've had my fair share of 99s, completed quests, and PvM (never enjoyed PvP), GOP is the only thing I login to RS for now - especially after cancelling my membership.

EDIT: Water talismans are still a decent avenue for making money via GOP - not all rewards are useless!
