Vouch Thread Layout!

Please please please consider this!

When leaving a vouch for someone a certain layout has to be used.
I'm sick and tired of being happy to trade with people because they have vouches of buying items for real life money, whilst no one specifies if it was via PA or Paypal. I don't like to trade with people that don't have any recent paypal purchasing vouches with trusted people for very obvious reasons.

Were atleast suggested as a sticky it would be very valued upon those who buy/sell allot.


Also please don't tell me this may discourage people from vouching because it could add a few seconds extra. I would rather trading with someone with 50 vouches presented in this format than seeing someone with 500+ vouches that are all 'vouch, thanks!' or 'Vouch great trader' which literally tell people nothing...

I think it's on us to protect other traders and if we leave vouches as detailed as the layout presents it would allow other members to see if trading with that person is worth it or not.


Quality > Quantity (Hence my vouches)

this isn't compulsory and this isn't for the general public to be enforced on, this should just be how trusted members vouch as a high recommendation! So new comers/members who don't trade often can just leave a vouch like regular, however if your Arcus or Kevin or King etc you should use this format as a recommended layout, so that other users such as trusted users or again the highly trusted users can access what type of payment options/amount they should trade with people whilst remaining safe

This should be done because its vouches from people like that whom decide wether these people are trusted or not, instead of a vouch from Kevin saying "sold him 07gp great trader" when that person is claiming they have sold over 600m to Kevin, which I cannot confirm by looking at a vague vouch. However if it was some random leaving a vouch then they could vouch however they like, unless they are trusted a vouch isn't taken into consideration with how people trade as much.


This could keep us safer as a whole, even King got scammed not too long ago because a highly trusted person left a vouch that was just "vouch sold him gold, legit trader you can trust him as well as you can trust me" and king ended up getting charged backed...

 

Though it is a good idea, none of the uncommon traders/new traders will use it.
It won't be able to be enforced, and really if you get a vouch, you're lucky enough. Vouching isn't required, and if you want a template to be used, you can just ask the member to use it.

 

It would discourage people from vouching. People don't want to waste their time filling out a form after they finish a trade.

 

No support. Some people would be lazy and would not bother filling it in properly. It would then just become another job for mods/admins in my opinion.

I don't see why we couldn't make a sticky suggesting that people vouch like this.
But if we make it a must, then hardly anyone would vouch. Vouching someone is a choice and if it becomes a chore, people will choose not to.

If you want a particular vouch, ask for a particular vouch.

 

No support. Unnecessary hassle. Imagine all the traders who have 1000's of vouches. Shit be cray.

It's not for me, its so that we can look at other peoples vouches and get a clear outline of what trades that person has done. So that we know if they are to be trusted etc.... Vouches are really a huge influence therefore to just allow stuff like 'vouch thanks' which tell people nothing is kind of bad, but i agree we can't force formats so a sticky would be great and if the highly trusted could supoprt and follow this method would be great, i'm not talking about noobs leaving vouches on highly traded peoples threads i'm talking about the trusted people using this as a format

 

I'm with the majority above me, it would just deter people from vouching. Perhaps a sticky at most.

 

This is retarded. People should be able to judge the quality of vouches for themselves...

Good idea, I do it similar, but unfortunately most people have no desire to fill out that way.

If you want the bigger name marketeers to use your format, go ahead and talk to them. We aren't stopping you from doing that. Us throwing up a sticky will not help this cause because the bigger name marketeers already are following a convenient system (which you do not prefer). So unless we mandate it, there's not going to be a change, and we're not going to mandate something like this.

I still encourage you to talk to the merchants though, maybe you can bring forth a change that'll catch on. Thanks for the suggestion
