Tribot - You're Safe

Guys relax, every time someone hacks they claim that they have access to the whole database, what he has is registered profiles of the TRIBOT accounts. Your runescape accounts are safe. Also he just hacked a site that has about 1,000+ programmers and on top of that 10,000+ people investing allot of money to try and keep everything running smoothly, no doubt revenge is coming.

 

are we supposed to just take your word on that...

 

TriBot doesn't have 1000 programmers...at best it has like 50 active scripters, if that.

And only really the hacker or Trilez knows if he got access to the whole database or not.

 

Yeah but what if Trilez stores the account manager details in the database? And more like 5 programmers, the rest are scripters who barely know anything.

 

50 active scripters publicly, there's a lot of private scripters around. Also, I doubt his got the database. Every time someone says that, it's complete bullshit.

But might be wrong, I have heard that Tribot has some lacking security.

 

Still changing everything to be safe, but are there actually any reports of accounts being hacked?

 

HEre is the thing, if you delete your tribot.jar and have to redownload it and open it, you have to put your stuff back in the Account Manager...you know why? that is stored exclusively on YOUR computer, Tribot doesn't store that information, which has also been confirmed by a Scripter on Tribot that your information is not kept, sure, he has your password and username to log into TRIBOT, but nothing else.

Your RS accounts in the Account Manager are stored on your computer and are in no way linked to the website otherwise they would then be linked to your account. If you've logged into TriBot on another computer/VPS you notice you have to reenter your account info.

All this guy has is your TriBot info. At worst your IP. Nothing to honestly worry about.

The only problem is the client but I don't believe he can fuck with it unless we re download it. Then again could he fuck with it when it check the auth system? That is the only time it connects to the website.

Just to be on the safe side, I would change passwords etc. You can never be too careful. Ignorance may be bliss, but ignorance won't get you your mils back.
