Require atleast 1 image in reports

Make it so you have to submit an image (like in those image uploading websites where you have to either drag or look for the image) srs I've seen like hundreds of reports just wasting the staffs time because they're not even valid. By putting atleast 1 image requirement you're going to get much more valid reports.

Or when they go to create a thread, bring up a template or a warning saying if you don't post with the proper information you will be infracted or something.

 

People wont care if they get infracted, because I assume they're already angry that they got scammed. Making it so atleast 1 image is required is perfect. There's countless threads with people saying "omfg he scammed me" and they copy paste the log, wasting the staff's time.

 

Right so when reporting a ban evader you need an image? Or when reporting a suspected hacked account you need an image? Countless of other scenarios where you don't need an img.

This suggestion is just stupid.

Infract people for trying to make a report, aiding to rid the amount of malicious users on this site. Today I lost some IQ. Thank you chloecat.

 

I think you should of automatically got it that I ment report a scammer but sorry.

 

Usually they're just locked and told what evidence we require.
They're not all that time consuming and it doesn't take much effort to lock or request what we require

Most people are just angry after being scammed and overlook the stickies if it's their first time in the section, I don't think we need to punish people

 

If anything, it's going to deter people from posting reports - people unknown of the process. Rather than deter them, I'd rather have staff direct said individual on how to upload an image, and what to include.

Yes, most newcomers don't read the report stickies, and some have no clue how to even upload images. Rather than having them unable to post a report, it's far more productive and beneficial to have staff simply post on the invalid report and tell them what to amend and include; as current.

 

because its fun to see threads of people posting skype chat logs rather than making a good sticky instructing people how to post a valid report

 

There are ample stickies regarding templates, content and anything else imo

 

I'd rather not argue or even debate this with you, you seem to be adamant on this and clearly can not see why it's not a great idea.

There are already stickies in place. No matter how tantalisingly good the sticky is, if people do not realise the importance of them and do not read them, it won't matter, they shall still not read them.
