DGD was what really launched me into post-hardcore even though I honestly think they've created their own genre, or at least niche, of music. Fond memories of listening to Downtown Battle Mountain I in my sister's car always bring a huge smile to my face.

My favorite artists within the realm of DGD are:
    • A Lot Like Birds
    • Stolas
    • Hail the Sun
    • The Fall of Troy
    • Strawberry Girls
    • Lower Definition
    • Tides of Man
    • Closure in Moscow

Anyone else really like groove/jazz-influence post-hardcore (the best way I can describe what it feels and sounds like)?

Great bands. I especially love The Fall of Troy. Wish they were still together. You should check these guys out. A little different than what you might like, but still good :)

I really dig their sound but the 70's blue-screen effects are fucking with my eyes. It needs vocals - if they got someone with a really soul/groove voice and did wacky/aggressive lyrics, TPHB would blow up.
