I have been away from Old School RS since the first week of the game being released. ATM I have 66k and not many items.

Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to make some cash to get me started.

Killing Druids and getting herbs

 

Start skilling like woodcutting, fishing etc.

This is a good way to start.

 

Could do things such as pick flax, flax to bowstrings, smith cannonballs basically anything that will build a bit of cash to do something better like green drags.

To be honest I'd just work on a skill you like instead of grinding some money making method. You want the game to be enjoyable, that is what 07 is for, right?

 

I believe 91 rc is still the best money possible per hour. Nats have gone down quite a bit tho so I'm not sure.

 

I don't think that's something he can currently do considering he's only played for a week However he could work towards it, but it'll take time of course.

Cowhides are a good way to start your bank.

 

This is pretty decent. A lot of people, low and mid leveled, do this to make cash.

This is great for when your combat level is low. If you don't think you want to use the hides to get crafting up, you can build up your bank a few hundred K before you move on from training at cows.

Welcome back buddy. I hope you stay for long this time as Jagex are constantly trying to update 2007 for the survival of the game in general, seeing as EOC is dying.

Green dragons IMO are decent. Barrows is better, Staking is best (sometimes.)
