Allow users to customize forum view

I was just thinking about how Sythe could provide a broad range of forums without cluttering up the main page: allowing users to re-arrange/hide specific forums. As it is now, you can only hide a whole section of sections which means it will also hide the ones you want to see. Also, sometimes the site goes back to not hiding those forums.

So for example I want to view Item Exchange and Other Accounts ONLY in the Runescape Markets section. I would have to either view all of the sub-forums or hide the whole Runescape markets. This would allow us to add many forums to diversify our user base.

So I think you know aswell as I do that it is the donations that keep sythe up and running and well the amount of donations the community gives is sufficient at the moment.

Yet the amount if development needed to create this option for everyone will be huge, and with that will come a big cost. Therefore donations would have to increase a lot or the accountants of sythe would have to save up a lot of money to allow for this to happen.

I'm not saying it's a bad idea at all, and frankly I'm quite for it, and with the great community we have here it could be do able. Yet that would only happen if we as the community helped too, with altruistic work to help with development and donations to help them pay for it all

I think it's definatley possible so if they like it (the big boys and girls of sythe) then I'm sure they'll save up to do it if they can

 

I'm not sure that this is possible in our version of vBulletin. I'd suggest that you bookmark the sections that you'd like to visit.
