Drastic change for Xbox One

Was a massive Xbox fan but with all the horse shit I was going to get a PS4... back to xbox.

This is interesting, although really they had no choice. 95% of people voted on amazon that they'd buy a PS4 instead of an Xbox one, I'd like to see a new poll now that they've added these updates though! I still think the majority will be PS4 with the lower price

 

Still gping.ps4 as there exclusives are always much better quality. Xbox only changed there mind because they saw how fucked they were. There terms still say "subject to change" they can still change it back once everyone has bought it.

 

If they were to change it back after the fact, Xbox would pretty much go out of business. They'd lose the trust of essentially their entire playerbase and the new question would be whether or not to go with Sony or Nintendo.

 

Also im the subscription on ps4 is much bettee then xbox gold. The specs from whay iv seen on ps4 look better.

 

I'm a PC gamer, but I still think the PS4 is a better deal. It's cheaper, plus it's more powerful and less gimmicky than the Xbox one. You also don't need to have that kinect plugged in for it to work. Free online play for some games is also a massive bonus for playstation.

 

Well, at least Microsoft are paying attention.

 

They should have realized this idiotic move was going to backfire before they did it, guess they needed outrage to get it correct.

I was/am reading about this in work and all of our tech department just had a massive discussion about Xbox and PS for like an hour lool.

I'm very glad they have done this though I wasn't looking forward to getting used to the psn thing.

Still though.. I'll be watching to see what Sony do, they recently released an update for their consoles and it stopped a lot of people from being able to play.

 

Umm, They haven't released an update for the system For at least a month. Just saying. Plus I've never heard of anyone not being able to play, and most of my school has a PS3.

Anyway, They changed those things because they had less than a 10% approval rate in most major polls. They're just going to gradually change it back once they get more of there players back. I don't understand what people see in the Xbox1 gaming wise. They've already shown more then enough for me to think it's more about an "all in one" entertainment system to get more units into households (families), instead of sticking to gaming like a counsel should. Not to mention have you seen some of those kiddy ass games there releasing as franchises? I think one was called sunset boulevard.

 

I will not be buying either. I find them completely pointless when you have a PC, and decent specs. Yeah they might do one better with the new breed of consoles but it's simply not worth it. I believe that no matter what PS4 will still sell more units due to people not being accustomed to this new found information.

 

funny that the ps3 has always had it and the next-gen system is just starting to do this? I think we know that if a current gen console is better then an xbox next gen, it's safe to say the ps4 will blow everything out of the water.

It was pretty obvious that they were going to change things after the beating Microsoft took at E3, the question is whether or not they will change things back to how they had them before half way through the system's life.

 

I felt like Microsoft was trying to be different and evolve the gaming world... but then realized what they were doing was hurting the consumers more than anything else.

I am still proPS4.

The titles for XBOX are kinda not appealing.

 

If xbox originally intended this, I can't trust them to not pull it off in the future once everyone has purchased an xbox one.

Ps4 is cheaper, has better specs (ever so slight), better game range (imo), better controllers and has cheaper online with more benefits for purchasing online.

I'm sorry but Xbox, you've fucked yourself out of at least one customer.



It will be interesting to see if the generation of consoles after Ps4/Xbox One will try to monopolize the DRM also

I was actually going to buy a PS4 rather than a XB1 after Microsoft had done a back flip and kicked themselves in the face (and when Sony knocked them over at E3). I've almost always been an Xbox fan in the gigantic on-going Xbox v. Playstation war. I've enjoyed Xbox gameplay over Playstation gameplay. I originally enjoyed PS1 and PS2, but other than that, I haven't really been a fan of PS. Most possibly because of their online gameplay; I prefer to pay $x/year for Xbox 360 multiplayer rather than Playstation 3 free multiplayer. Honestly, Microsoft made a mistake, and I'm not sure as of right now what console I plan on getting -- PS4 or XB1. However, there's plenty of time to decide which console I want. Gj for Microsoft for attempting to solve their problems, though.
