18 Year Old Driver?

I've recently acquired an '06 Toyota Corolla. The mileage on it is INSANE. They're cheap, last hundreds of thousands of miles, and are dependable. Try to find a good Corolla - it's worth it.

Are you trying to buy a brand new car for your first car? SMH.

I had a cavalier for my first, loved the thing. You can even go with Z24 sport model, which is what I had. Fun stuff.

 

I can vouch for this. Corolla's are the best cars to get if you are wanting reliability (seriously, they're indestructable) and they're mileage is pretty good too.

 

Look again please. Scion TC's are such girly cars and Sebrings are really ugly.

I'd buy a Civic Si or an Acura Integra/RSX.

Dodge Darts are pretty cheap too but it's dodge so expect heavy maintenance needed.

Edit: C'mon guys - he wanted a cool car for an 18 year old to drive. A slow, boring Camry doesn't fit that category.

 

A good all wheel/4 wheel drive vehicle and a motorcycle.

All depends on your country. In england the fuel is like 3x the amount that it is the in US, and insurance is a lot more. For a 1.3 CDTI van I'm paying around £2000 a year, and I've been driving for over a year. If you're in the US/Canada, you can get a nice car and not have to worry about it costing you a fortune to fill up.

Honda Civic/Accord, Volkswagen wagen, cars like that. My friend drives an accord and his mpg is amazing. I drive an explorer and I'm out of a half a tank of gas in about two days. lol

 

Maybe an Acura TSX or TL they're both good cars and I'm pretty sure you can get a used TSX for under 10 grand

 

This very much. I have a 2005 Camry and it's been great. I've gotten all the way up to 35 MPG sometimes. Lasts for a long time, too.

My first car when I turned 18 was Mitsubishi Colt. At first I was kinda displeased at the shape of this car. Later on when I started paying for gas I was really glad my parents had made this decision. Fantastic 55+ mpg, cheap insurance, no need of any repairs considering I wasn't the most talanted 18 year old driver.

 

for a 18 year old.. any car that run well and doesn't burn a shitload of gas is a good car
