Is this worth trading for magic cards?

I wanting to get into magic like my friends. I am selling my xbox 360, and I thought why not get a trade for magic cards. The guy offered me 2 boxes of magic cards. The second box he said he identified atleast 100 as rare.

(Each box contains 4000-5000 magic cards)

My xbox comes with 2 controllers and 5 games and the xbox is a year old.

Is it worth an even trade or no?

Seems like a heavy investment tbh. Have you checked ebay or whatnot and looked up the value of your system and games compared to the cards?

 

The box in the picture he wanted $50 for. My xbox I don't really care what I get out of it. Something as equal value of $150+. That being said, I am looking to get into magic and I am needing some cards. Just want to make sure it is a good trade and I get some cards that will do me good for while.

 

Watch out for fakes. Id worry about that the most tbh.

 

Fakes would be hard to spot I'm guessing?
