Xbox One vs. Playstation 4

Xbox 1. For life.

 

Im just going to buy a PS4 because all of my friends are... but I think xbox one is going to surprise a lot of people.

 

microsoft just gave a lot of bad rep to the new xbox1, it really sucks, statements like "we also have a non-always online device, it's called xbox 360" (they really have said it), are really stupid

and ps4 because i fucking love kingdom hearts

 

Playstation network isn't that bad honestly. You don't get alot of shit-talkers in online games (from my experience anyway), though bringing up the menu can be a bit laggy.

 

Playstation all the way if I end up buying a console.

 

I was a xbox fan :') But a number of things have put me off the xbox greatly... So far I'm being swayed towards the Playstation. However I'll wait 1 month before getting one and see if Microsoft decide to remove any of the things they added.

 

I think a lot of people are leaning towards the ps4 for that reason BUT now xbox is taking back their thing on the resale of games, and you will be able to buy/sell/trade all xbox1 games.

I have played xbox, then went to ps3, then back to xbox, and i really do think the ps4 is going to come on top this year, but....i'm not sure why MLG doesn't include the playstation into the scene of things.

ALL the competitions are strictly xbox, like halo and cod (halo obviously because its only for xbox) but the call of duty side is always on xbox, and i'm not sure why..

SO if MLG would pick up the ps4 that'll be the last determining factor now....besides online is going to be about the same price for both consoles now.

i'd also like to add im buying both consoles due to xbox having some bad ass exclusive games, but my primary gaming console is probably going to be the playstation now

- There will no internet connection required to play offline Xbox One games "after a one-time system set-up with a new Xbox One"

- There will be no 24-hour connection requirement for the console

- Used game sales and borrowing of games will have no limitations

- No regional restrictions

 

Just a little more info that Amethyst didn't include that still is important:

- All game discs will work on Xbox One as they do on Xbox 360
- An Internet connection is only required when initially setting up the console
- All downloaded games will function the same when online or offline

Because of this, the new console should now be called "Xbox One 80".

Enough has been said.

 

Even with this being the new case, the Xbox1's name is still slandered. With the release at E3 (where people like myself get our gaming info because where not to big into it.) We know the far superiority gap was there with the PS4 being on top. Now just because they get rid of some of the things people absolutely hated, doesn't put them back on top. As far as I'm concerned the PS4 has the same features as the Xbox1 now, with party chat and all. But what about the things that are still lame with the Xbox1?

-They glorify the fact of live streaming sports, but you need to pay monthly and buy a separate "cable box" where it would be cheaper to get hulu and stream it.

-They aren't focusing on a gaming console. There new ideas are forming around all in one home entertainment centers. Why would you buy one on these when you can have your TV separate and cheaper. (not going to mention the dvd's and blurays since both consoles have the ability to watch them).

-Your forced to have the Kinect on. whats scary about this is they can watch and listen to you when your xbox is off even. That thought puts me a little on edge.

-You also have to pay for new copies of old games for the xbox1 because it isn't backwards compatible. Which simply pisses me off. The President in charge of the Microsoft Xbox division (Don Mattrick) Has been quoted saying "it's like Backwards Thinking". But apparently they changed this also, but i haven't seen anything official on it.

And as far as I know, you still need to pay for gold membership to watch Netflix which is stupid considering you've already payed for the netflix service.

IMO PS4 is still on top, and while they focus more on gaming, Microsoft has showed that they're very money greedy and are trying to focus on making it an experience for all entertainment. But let me ask you this, Why would you buy a gaming console for anything other then gaming? (besides maybe netflix streaming)

Xbox One. Kingdom Hearts not PS4 exclusive anymore. No more drm or used games restrictions. Going with XB1

 

Now instead of everyone having an Xbox, everyone will have a PS4. Xbox One is over priced, and over rated.

 

With Xbox one lifting the trading restrictions and the online connection requirement, I'm leaning back to the xboxOne.
