Thoughts on this car?

For an 18 year old? My dad says its an "old mans" car. Ive also checked out a nice Eclipse but its orange, too flashy for me.
Found a nice black scion as well as a white corolla. Help?? Also a convertible Saab but i'm told their tough to maintain like bmws as well.

 

It is kind of "old manish" something you would see an old man drive in Florida.

I would personally go for the eclipse since I like the bodywork on them. Next would probably the corolla depending on the make year. I don't like scion so I wouldn't even look at one.

 

grab a scion fr-s, I'd rather drive that than the chrysler, toyota, and my friend had an eclipse for a while but it's more of a girls car and it really isn't that fun to drive. I've drove the fr-s and loved it. I'm actually thinking of getting a Subaru BRZ STI when they come out, it's the same as the scion fr-s except it's made by Subaru and is going to be modded like their STI packages.

The only thing I don't like about the fr-s is the seating, even though it's a 4 seater car it really doesn't have the room to fit 4 adults.

OP: Every car you listed is ugly as fuck. Get yourself a nice BMW or an Audi.

 

Lol for an 18 year old, bmw and audis are tough to maintain if it breaks down, ive found nice Saabs, Bmw, and Audis but its just maintaining it.

 

The luxury cars are built to last. Just buy one in decent-good condition and you are set.

 

Looks fine to me. I don't know why he would call it an old man's car, nor why your dad would care if your car was 'cool'. The only car your listed I would prefer over it would be an eclipse, but not if it was orange.

Just don't buy American cars.

if you like it and it is in good shape get it. thats the only opinion that should matter.

 

Ive found one thats dark blue if that changes anything? This one kind did had an old man color to it.

 

Hey man you're 18! Don't worry about it being an 'old man's car' it's a fine car for an 18 year old. A-B is all you need really, unless it's a rust bucket... a decent car is fine. Maintaining the Saab shouldn't be too much of a problem my dad's mate used to have one and had no problems. I believe most garages will stock the parts you need and do work on it for a reasonable price anyway. I believe out of the cars which you've listed (without seeing pictures) the Saab is a nicer car. Who cares if it's an 'old man's car' which in my opinion it is not... it is a car and it'll do the job. When you're earning the big bucks then worry about the looks. Remember with cars also 'don't fix it, 'till it's broken' otherwise you'd just be wasting money.
