eBay dispute

Some asshole says the item I sent them is broken. He opened a dispute and now my $125 is being held from use. Problem is, I already used te money -_-. So now I have $-125 in my Paypal and a liar disputing a transaction.

Any tips on winning eBay disputes?

 

Damn, that's unlucky.. i believe if you don't have an actual proof the item was brand new, you'll lose the dispute.

He means to ask him to re ship the item back to you ( I guess) and ask him to pay for the shipment.

 

I would but I already spent the money. Lol.

 

Do you have photo proof of the item in good condition?
That's all I can think of really, that if you provide proof/receipt from post office that the item was fine, then maybe you have a chance.
Other than that I think you're screwed. :/

 

Did you think maybe the item was damaged during transit? I deal with incoming stock on a daily basis and it happens quite frequently.. especially if it wasn't packaged correctly. I believe you should be asking for photo proof of said damage - and if it is, ask him to send the item back to you with shipping accounted for. You will learn next time to take photographs of item and packaging before dispatch next time.

 

The item is a RC car so picture proof of it in good condition does not help much :/. He says it isn't running but I tested it.

The item was double boxed and he reports the motor is broken which is highly unlikely.

I have pictures of the item but nothing of it running I believe.

PayPal cant really take money that isn't there so if you cant sort things out with buyer you're probably best just leaving the account with a negative balance and start and new one.

 

If his card is linked to it, he can't un-link it until the balance is paid back, and if he doesn't pay the balance back by a certain time they take it out of your bank, and if your bank doesn't have it, then you owe your bank it, it's a long process, but you can't just get away from it, unless his card isn't connected which I doubt it isn't due to the large amount of money he's had in it.

 

Also eBay requires VCC now and I can terminate my account either.

 

Yeah, if your cards are linked you're practically screwed if he wins.
Honestly just gather up as much information as you can and send it into ebay/paypal, good luck on it all.
